Visited twice in the past few months both time with family including my two year old sun. Excellent food, nice range of drinks and fab friendly service. Was made to feel very welcome and certainly the friendliest pub we've tried in Pudsey.

We visited this pub a week ago, and i was so shocked that a small pub has everything so spot on, we had a sunday lunch and the food was impressive and worth a short wait, and good value for money,i understand also from talking to a regular there is a new menu about to be launched!! will definitely be visiting for that !! The beer and real ales were also in good stead, and the whole pub was packed and everyone was having a relaxing sunday family day. I rate this pub overall at 9 out of 10, i've read the other comments, please try for yourselves!!!I also notice the comments were from 2 years ago!! The pub now has a family running it and a new landlord!!

Worth a visit for the view alone. I doubt there are many pubs within 6 miles of a large city centre like Leeds to have such a nice outlook. Guest beers are OK, if sometimes in short supply. Food is good too. You can even pull up outside on your horse and enjoy a pint over the fence. If there's a downside then it's the trying-too-hard-to-be-olde-worlde decor. But I'm being picky.

I have visited this remote pub twice and was unimpressed by the very unfriendly staff who seemed to want to be alone.

On a recent visit to the Bankhouse with my 3 year old child and baby we overheard a member of staff (who later claimed to be management) using the most disgusting language towards me and my children. In a round about way I was told (in much more colourful terms) not to take my children there. This was in response to a request for a plain sandwich for my child. I left in tears. I have used this pub for years. It used to be a pleasant place to visit. Alas I shall visit no more.

hmmmm. she told me someone had compensation stars in their eyes. don't be put off by this unfortunate accident. the staff are really friendly, the food's good and it's a great spot to chill on a warm day. in fact it's good on a winters day too in front of the roaring fire.

The Bankhouse, Bankhouse Lane, Pudsey has a beer garden on a couple of levels and is very popular with local families. This evening however my 5 year old, 3 stone daughter was involved in an accident there. She was leaning on one of the fences which guards against a drop of around a metre onto a concrete bench, when it gave way and she fell. She suffered only superficial cuts and bruises but this was more a matter of good luck than because of safeguards employed there. The fench was secured with old, rusty and bent screws and nails and some of the fence posts themselves are split, being held up by the layers of paint as much as anything else. I understand that my daughter's safety is not the responsibility of the pub but I believe that it is their responsibility to provide a safe environment - which they are not. When the manager, Janet Rowley arrived after I has asked to see her, she simply put her handsup defensively and said that if I had any complaints I should call the brewery. Had she apologised I may have let the matter rest but as she obviously couldn't careless about the state of her beer garden or my child I felt that I should take things further. Indeed Ms.Rowley advised me that it was not the first time this had happened although she has obviously taken no action to ensure the safety of her customers and their children.

Excellent for a lazy summer night, overlooking Fullneck valley. guest Ales. Good food though could do with a better selection of guest beers.
