Now a community centre, charred on one side by the Reeves Corner fire.

Another good pub gone ..... CLOSED
|
I was in here last Sunday. What a dump,i had a pint of lager i think it must of been one that was left over from last night flat dirty glass the place smelled of rotten beer and it was dirty. The customers were a bit rough and female customers were shouting more than the men.
|
After my pals moving out this pub has gone right down the pan. Full of ignorant young people and their drug Dealing pimps. Sooner its firebombed the better.
|
anti smoking anti white anti working class? nah i don't think so sunbeam. I just didn't like your pub.
|
Always makes me laugh, you new labour anti smoking, anti white, anti working class mugs slagging off all the decent working class pubs. What do you want? all of us to buy our drinks at tessa Cohens and sit at home drinking like Loners eh?.
|
I'm delighted to hear it has ladies and gents toilets.
Sounds like you've been there far more times than me so maybe I got it on an off day. But believe me it was off.

Was taken in here three years ago by a friend and in that time have got to know all the locals and have become a regular myself. This a friendly pub without doubt. and having just moved to Carshalton from watford where in 12 years I couldnt find a local because every pub was full of nasty cliquey characters who had issues with london accents. So this made me laugh
Review by terence d "You name it, it lacks it."
Lacks what? The Eagle Has; Jukebox, Pool table, Dartboard Sky sports and setanta, and a karaoki machine. A bar, Barstools, Tables, Chairs and male and female toilets Oh and carpet on the floor so tell me what its missing.
"It can't even get the basics right." I know for a fact that the Eagle is thoroughly cleaned every morning and the pipes cleaned regularely. It has the usual suspects on draught, good range of spirits complimented by bar snacks, pies and rolls at lunch time, so whats not right.
You should try wetherspoons mate.

There should be an extension of Croydon Tramlink right through the Eagle.
You name it, it lacks it.
It can't even get the basics right.

i was with the fella who wrote the review below at the same time and he is right. no stella, carling or any of the usual suspects just john smith or bottled crap. very quiet, no music and the bar man looked like he had just been dragged off the street and stuck behind the bar. not a good pub.

Had an experience in this pub. Only been here once and will probably not return. There was no draught lager available by the tap so the bottled beer became an option. Good pool table though. The place was empty considering it was a thursday evening at about 6:30pm.
