Wolsey's Bar and Eating House, Bangorback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The staff here are very very good, except the Asian guy, who like my comment on the Rose and Chandlers, obviously doesn't like the English and made this quite clear with his rudeness, my wife myself,my English friend and his wife who was visiting from England, spent several hours in this pub, we had a perfect meal and a good few drinks, the staff were very attentive and polite until the person mentioned started his shift. My friend wanted to approach the person to see what his problem was but his wife told him not to make a scene. As stated in a previous comment on this site, There are a great number of English living in Ulster as a whole and Bangor in particular, if this person treats them like this, then the profits will soon go down, we spent well over 100 in Wolsey's, but when friends next visit in September i think we will give this pub a miss!

Great Pub, Great Food, Very Very Good Staff 10/10

One of the better pints of Guinness in Ireland. A very pleasant atmosphere in the afternoon, although for the 35+ brigade, it gets very young / rowdy at night.

Is this pub still going ? Their website has closed down.

This place was rubbish when I was 14 and it was the only place in Bangor that would let me in. Still rubbish now, although I'm glad to hear they make blokes take their jewelery off. I wouldn't have allowed you in!

Always packed at weekends, sometimes overcrowded. They play a mixture of music upstairs. Often used to have live bands downstairs. Used to like it, but the last time I was in they asked me to take all my jewelery off!!
