Not my kind of place really but went for a drink for a colleague's leaving do. It's okay. Bit noisy for chatting. Wouldn't return by choice.

I found the staff in here to be very friendly, but apart from that it is just as forgettable as any other Pitcher and Piano.

Overpriced chain bar with atmosphere of Pluto.

Popped in with my wife for a snack before meeting friends elsewhere. GBP26 for a couple of drinks and a plate of the worst "chinese" snacks to share it has ever been my misfortune to eat.

My wife was incadescent as she used to work in the pub trade and wanted to refuse to pay. I couldnt work up the energy to do.

Avoid

Awful. Lots of cheap people in expensive clothes paying way over the odds for drinks.

Very variable in there, lunchtimes very nice chilled out. Some evenings absolutely awful as the music is far too loud, actually saw several couples and groups finish drinks and leave as it was blasting out so badly the other night and this was after the barman had been asked several times by different people to drop noise. HAving said that on other nights perfectly okay. Maybe it depends on who is doign which shift.

Not as bad as so many chain bars. Okay daytime as less smoky and decent service.

Neither as smoky or as noisy as it used to be, for some reason. Also has disabled access. Busy at lunchtime then empties until about six. I was there on Friday (for a work do, yes) and found the Staropramen perfectly acceptable. The two ale drinkers in our group, however, were less impressed with the Pedigree and quickly moved on to Guiness. But then they are used to The Harp next door or the Cove down the road: that's Covent Garden's appeal - something for all tastes if you know where to look.

Hideously smoky ... yes I know its a pub but most places manage some sort of ventilation system, will always be busy with office parties. Don't risk ordering food even ice cream would end up with a Benson & Hedges tinge! Having said that weekdays in the afternoon fine for a quick pint/glass of wine and a read of the paper while waiting for a mate. Not the sort of place you want to spend an evening though.

I think some of the people below are a little bit confused, complaining about the noise of people (suits)!!! It's not a library after all, but it is great place to meet people and my company have parties there all the time. Cheaper than All-Bar-One as well. Might not be the "best" bar in the area but it's a hell of a lot better than most and no more expensive than other bars locally. I like the place a lot.

Establishment mmade my ears bleed - so noisy couldn't hear yourself drink (a very average though expensive pint of lager).

Not music that was the problem, just the cheap wooden surroundings which seemed to amplify the hordes in there. Packed full of suits at lunch time - we left them to it.

I would avoid - plenty better in the vicinity.

Decent pub but fairly standard for a Pitcher and Piano. Pleasant atmosphere in the evening.

Difficult to know what bars Mike (previous comment) has been to before but they must be unusually horrific - maybe the Intrepid Fox? - for this place to be described as 'amazing'...

Was forced to come here after a friend had to move her birthday party from a packed Salisbury to an emptier venue, and there's good reason why this place is emptier. The drinks are bland and ludicrously over-priced, whilst the veggie chilli looked more like supermarket sweet and sour chicken, shame it didn't taste as good. Also the waiter was so sarcastically chatty I wondered whether he was working for free because he was so lonely. Only come here if every other pub in the world has closed down (apart from the Intrepid Fox, obviously).

What an amazing bar, great value for money a fine addition to the Trafalgar Square area. Also a great location for celebs! Robert de Niro drinks here.

A pitcher and piano and not a very good one. Its not awful but there a lot better in the area.
Beer is below average quality and above average price.

Pleasant atmosphere but sloppy service, poor quality beer and ridiclously over-priced drinks...3 plus a pint.

I did find that one of the managers was a bit sarcastic when I complained about the food being cold
