A pleasant pub inside and certainly the best location for the railway station.

My pint of Sharps Original was very good but slightly rushed as we had a train to catch.

Would like to visit again when I have more time.

6/10

Sharps Atlantic & Original and Skinners Betty Stogs were the three ales on sale on an unbelievably quiet Saturday lunchtime. Courtyard rather than a garden and doesn't seem to get much natural light inside. Didn't see the need to try anywhere else in the town though.

A free house serving food.

A one bar pub which has low ceilings and a certain charm, bit of a tardis as is much larger on the inside than it looks from the road. has several nooks and crannies set out with tables and has a small restaurant room leading off from the bar area.

A warm welcome on arrival with three beers on tap at time of visit.....Doombar, Skinners Betty Stoggs and a beer from Tintagel brewery. All in good condition.

Didn't eat at the pub but the food looked good and a large number of people were eating both in the bar area and the restaurant area so seems to be a popular place.

Well worth a visit.

Similar visit to last year where the quality of the food was fantastic but the range of beers sorely lacking. We had a beer from Cotleigh which was ok but compared to the superb styles that had appeared at the Falmouth beer fest the previous day was lacking in almost every category. The other two beers on didn't even reach that level. Please, you are a great pub, try and sell some GREAT Cornish ales.

We, including the dogs, were made very welcome here. The food was absolutly superb. Most disappointing was the range of beers, 3 on, Doomed Beer, Directors and Skinners Betty Stoggs, the latter two we had. After a day at the Falmouth beer festival the previous day both these were a big let down in taste and style. Shame with just two or three of the other 25 odd Cornish breweries on the handpumps this could become a fantastic venue.

Three beers on including Betty Stogs and the dreadful Doom Bar.
Food a tad pricey.

Excellent food & service, lovely beer garden & restaurant area. Although the beers didnt over impress on my visit, (Doom Bar, Stogs & a Hydes beer), this is definateley one of the nicest little pubs ive ever been too.

I cannot rate this pub highly enough.
I went there with my grandmother on Friday night and had a fabulous meal in the restaurant followed by a nice drink in the bar. The range of beers looked good (although I was drinking wine and didn't sample any), and the price of both food and drink was very good. The staff and regulars were all very friendly and welcoming.

On Sunday evening we returned and had another, equally good meal in the restaurant, and were remembered and greeted warmly by the waiter - which is always a good sign. Following the meal we again went to the bar, but as Sunday night is quiz night it was standing room only. Despite this my grandmother was offered a seat and we were invited to join a team if we wished (alas we couldn't stay long enough).

If you are in the area then this pub is definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend booking if you want to guarantee a table in the restaurant - by 8:30 on the Sunday evening it was full.

Proper Pub with backroom restaurant, serving Skinners Betty Stoggs at time of visit (just after Christmas) which was well kept, easy going staff for kids, food is full pub prices of 10-15 mains and was average quality - shame as otherwise its a fine cornish town pub

Nice pub situated near the medieval river bridge and Lostiwthiel station. The three real ales were Greene King Abbot Ale, Sharps Doom Bar and Skinners Betty Stogs. The cider was also from Sharps. Loved the tadpoles!

Visited Globe inn last week whilst in the area on holiday - based on the entry in the GBG. Really nice pub, Skinners Betty Stogs was in best condition I have tasted, food seemed reasonable, friendly barman. Easy short stroll from the station - recommended!

Found this great pub on a recent visit to Cornwall. A perfect combination of Real Ale, really good food, lovely garden and friendly staff. The kids were made very welocme. Will definately go back on my next visit to Lostwithiel.
A favourite with the locals which is always a good sign.
