Please ignore the arsehole Legtrailer as he is a known local pisshead who is barred from all the pubs in the area. This is his way of retaliation as he is a cowardly piece of S@$T!!!

Great pub!! Value for money meals! Hotel rooms spotless. Would recommend to anyone.
|
forgot to say, they got 'done' for under-age selling 3 times....
|
Yeah, right! The pub 'went down like a drunk' & finally, after being caught under-age selling','shut for refurbishment',the licencees appearing in the local rag, blaming the council. The bottom line is that its a ghastly pub for ghastly people.

went there last night and i was firstly put off by the comments made by legtrailer and the Timothy Taylors. Asked the landlord, steve, who kindly gave me a taste and it was wonderful. a real beer drinkers heaven!
|
On my first visit for 6 months I was served a pint of Timothy Taylors which was undrinkably bad.Won't go back.

Dreadful shame as this used to be a wonderful pub with great character and real characters amongst the clientele. That however was 20 years ago.
I dont suppose any of the current customers realise how good it was once.

Wearying,TV's,quiz machines, fruit machines--way way too chavvy, particularly for Hartburn.A lot of the older regulars have gravitated to the other 2 pubs in Hartburn.A dispiriting experience.

Twenty to thirty years ago this was a great pub. Then the lounge and bar were knocked through and it lost its character. Since being refurbished on different levels it has lost any traditional feel it ever had - and at one time that was lots.
Bass is decent and if you didn't know how great this used to be I suppose the pub is alright.
How much better it might have been.

Great Pub, in a great location, friendly regulars, friendly bar staff, nice food, Joe (barstaff) is a legend, and that lass that works there is also quite stunning. Fantastic beer garden outside with decking and a pool table, a tv. When it's busy dont expect to find a table, but for a nice sunny day, or if its just not raining or horrible weather, go sit out in the beer garden.

The Stockton Arms is a good pub, on the corner of Hartburn Village. Although the bar itself was refitted in that stock brewery style, parts of the rest of the pub maintain a certain character, and the locals are a pretty friendly Hartburn-based bunch. They do an excellent pint of Bass on the hand-pull, and the food is really quite good. It can be a little tricky to get a table at busy times, though, as the hotel residents have theirs reserved. To top it off, there is a nice beer garden outside, perfect for sunny days with your Bass. :o)
