Cockneylass - A little gem????

You either work there or have total mistaken this boozer for somewhere decent.

Proper traditional English pub serving fantastic Thai food. Hidden on the back streets of the South Bank, this place is a little gem. Outside seating is plentiful and surrounded with shrubs and flowers. Food is very reasonable and good quality. It serves the best priced beer and larger in the area. Walls and shelves are decorated with sport pictures and old London memorabilia. Very much a locals pub - you will always find someone to talk to in here. If the music is loud ask the bar staff to turn it down- they won't mind- everyone is different .

Steer clear of the beer here, stick to lager. Don't know what 99p was saying about trying hard, landlord looked and behaved like someone had shat through his letter box. Doleys and brickies mostly.

A surprisingly good find on a backstreet in Waterloo. This pub really is trying hard and it works. It's probably the cheapest pub around the area and I had a lovely pint of Best in there. Not sure about some of the the clientel but hey there's idiots everywhere these days!

It's spacious and warm inside and makes for a good place to have a beer and a chat with your mates. Not sure I'd take the girlfriend there though!

The new ownership appears to be Greene King, and an insipid pint of IPA I was served the other day. Should have gone with the Tyskie lager I think. Sport was on but with no commentary, just loud music that no one really seemed to be listening to. Very blokey. Not exactly unwelcoming but I can imagine the more timid being put off.

They've certainly started doing some ales since you last went in Vinnie; maybe it's under new ownership?

the reviews for this pub suprise me, allthough not a regular i've been in hear a couple of times as I'm originally from the area, and have family near by,and allthough i've not been in for a couple of years I distinctly remember having to drink guiness as thier were no ales, not a bad sort of locals pub tucked away just enough to avoid any passing trade

Better than it looks from the outside, had a decent pint of Black Sheep bitter here.

Fair enough locals pub, not exactly welcoming to the passing stranger, but no bad atmosphere either. Reasonable pint of Bombardier.

Stumbled across this place on a Saturday afternoon, in a neighborhhod where not much else seemed to be happening. Staff was very helpful and we sampled a range of ales, all of which were acceptable. Nice mixed crowd of old guys reliving their youth and younger folks enjoying soccer...er, football.
