Doblers Inn, Cambridgeback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Another new Cambridge pub visited yesterday. This one has much more of a local feel than many of the others. FA Cup football was on the TV. Eagle IPA, Black Sheep Bitter & Marston's 61 Deep were the ales. But I was also pleasantly surprised to see 3 Weston's ciders - Old Rosie, Rosie's Pig & Flat Tyre. It was all quite rowdy inside, with the pool table keeping younger drinkers happy at one end.

Surprised that this place went a few years without a review on here. As Rhode_Runner comments, the Dobblers is very football oriented, but it had about 4 ales on and the staff were friendly. I think the pub runs a football team, pool team, etc. so plenty of community spirit in evidence.

Visited here for a cribbage league game. Smallish pub in a side street. 2 large screens and very football oriented. Lots of football memorobilia around the bar. The staff were extremely friendly as were the locals. Good pint of St Austell brewery - Proper Job and Adnams. There was also Charles Wells Eagle and Bombardier.
I'd reccommend it. Especially if you like your football.

Pleasant but unexceptional, a friendly pitstop but not a place to spend an afternoon (in comparison with the pubs closer to Mill Road). Real ales Ok but (again) suffering in the July heat and thru' lack of turnover. Nice Cam Utd flag in garden.

Regarding the previous comment... I don't think they keep IPA, they are a Charlie Wells pub so their equivalent is Eagle. A pretty average back street boozer.

A good typical local pub, as yet unspoilt by theidiotic bout of remoddling currently hitting Cambridge. Keeps in IPA and usually Bombadier plus one other guest ale that is changed regularly.
Really nice bar staff
