Went in here on Sunday for a quick pint and was told it was closing for refurb next Monday (again).Apparently it will be called The Longford and will be more Restauranty than a pub. Oh and avoid if you want to watch The World Cup as he aint showing it....Madness

I like this bar in the summer. Not many seats outside though. A couple of my friends go in here quite a lot and they love it. I don't think it's anything special though.

This is its fourth different re generation I can remember over the last 7-8 years, still no difference.Unfortunately if you have lived in that area in the past, YOU WILL bump into someone who's name you have long forgotten and care even less about who will greet you with the immortal line "ello mate wachyoo doin nah? wurking?" trust me it happens everytime

seems to me this place is trying to be too many things to too many people. there's the posh gastro pub feel with fancy red wine displays, back-lit italian espresso machine & ornamental mirrors; wacky back bar fish tanks & staff with the occasional 'i'm mad, me' outfits; and multi-coloured disco lights on a wall full with abstract art pieces. it's more confusing than comfortable at first but its also a huge place with an atrium in the back area bringing lots of light into the dining area next to the well-run open plan kitchen. lots of potential, the imminent refurb should give it the attention it deserves.

Good food during the day, but not much else going for it. Rubbish at night, music way too loud, only visit for a Sunday lunch as they have all the papers.

This pub is terrible went in and was told food had finished due to being busy?? They should be so lucky, 15 people is not busy the bar covered in beer and rude staff, glad to leave

Annoying plasma screens that play music videos whilst the pub has loud pumped music that is not related to the video playing, this is rather distracting. I don't go to pubs to watch bad pop videos of Girls Aloud and their evil ilk. Cheap happy hour drinks on Sun-Thur though.

Had an OK meal in here, but the pint wasn't great. Also has loud music playing, but Video screens playing un-related music - WHY - Synch them up or turn them off.

Stone House is a sound place to go on a night when you're up for good music and a few drinks. Sunday's are particularly good with live band singing. Think the man from 1980 has given it a rough deal - much better than it used to be!

what a waste of money 3/4 million pound refit to turn it back in to what it was... A poor "towny" pub which charges a premium for dinks and is full of witless fools who all dress the same have the same haircut but yet think they are different from the norm. If they need a location and extras for the next big zombie movie I would recommend they went to the Stone House on a weekend night by the way serving food on giant dark wood plates doesn't enhance the taste or quality of the goods

real nice modern bar/resturant. used to be cafe sociity but much better after refurbishment. lovely food. a bit pricy but worth it.
