Great diner now! Don't really miss the Greyhound to be honest.

No longer The Greyhound, this is now called The Diner and serves mostly burgers

Great pub for afficianados of post-modern London - disgruntled Notting Hill exiles and wailing gastro-children aplenty.

Cliquey and the toilets are very busy for a pub so small! Reasonable food and cute little garden out the back.

There are worse pubs to have a pint in; it's not smoky or noisy, which are big pluses in my book. However, the ale selection is limited (only Adnams Bitter lately) and the food comes in snack-size portions at Ritz-style prices. My flatmate keeps bringing me there as it's the local, but to be honest I'd have more fun staying at home with a bottle. If you're after a meal, the food is far better and even a little cheaper round the corner at the Paradise.

I have been a loyal local at this pub for years however, in recent months i just can't help but feel that the owner or owners of this establishment are just taking the 'mickey.' Drink prices have increased to an unjustifyable rate. Service is not what it used to be or what one would describe as acceptable; cold, unhelpful and unfriendly. Consequently, the buzz that this place used to have has vanished. When you look at the surrounding competition like the William, Paradise and the Regent this pub just doesn't compare anymore. It needs to get its act together before it loses all its locals and disappears just like 'Chambers.'

Went for a meal here just the other night. Food wasn't so much expensive as just plain bad. Combined with a limited wine list and lucklustre service it would seem to be holding itself out as something that it's not.

I've visited this pub quite regularly since it opened, and it's usually a pretty good choice. The food is good and, I think, priced reasonably, pretty much in line with the usual "gastropub" prices. Last time I ate there was a Sunday lunchtime and we had a pretty good Sunday roast. The garden at the back is a good spot to get a seat outdoors when the William IV is full up. The ambience is a bit less pretentious than at the William. There's only one ale on the handpump, and it's usually Adnam's Explorer, in good condition. It can get a bit smoky in the pub side, but the restaurant is non-smoking.

Came here when there was a free drinks promo from Time Out. It was described as a leading gastropub but the menu looked totally over-priced. We sat in the restaurant side which was at least better than the drinking side. I wouldn't come here again though.

this pub has alot to offer, but i can't help but feel like i am being conned every time i go in. it is taking the mickey out of the people in the area who like to be 'seen'in places, and for the management it appears to be just another venture...... good or bad not sure, but very Pretentious!

v overpriced food. poor.

Yep,..it used to be a dark narrow boozer that served after hours and showed football,..think we're coming from slightly different perspectives here Sally,...."By far the best pub in the area" try the William IV!...anyway,...which one of the co-owners do you know then?

Did 'kmcs' ever go to it before it bacame The Greyhound? It is cosy and inviting. The staff are friendly and efficient and the manager is a cutey! The only downside is he's leaving otherwise i would score it 9 rather than 8. Me and my girlfiends go their regularly and love the fact that it is so non thfreatening to girls. By far the best pub in the area.

cack,...worst refit ever,...just put in some brighter bulbs, give it a licka paint, smash through into the newsagent nextdoor and "ponce it up a bit" seems to have been the philosophy here. Rubb ish.

Chambers has now closed. It has been replaced by The Greyhound Pub and Dining Room
