Yes , at least it does serve draught Greenwich Mean Time, although adding the correct number of e's did nothing to improve the temperature of my pint.. Fortunately the garden area here is an OK space to sit in whilst you wait for your pint to thaw out from frozen.. Greenwich beers are not bad for Keg Craft offerings but like a lot of craft beers get aimed at places that stick everything through the chiller...

The pub has draught Grenwich Mean time which is OK. have been there twice in two weeks. First time my other half had a special and I had a burger. She loved her food I was non plussed.Second time I had a special she had off the menu and it was the reverse. Agree with other posters that atmosphere and service very good, they also have a big back garden for smokers

Agree that this is probably more of a restaurant that you can drink at - but I went there with wife and kids last week and the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend summer lunch out the back in the sun.

The drinks selection in this place is very limited with only Adnams Spindrift, Hoegarden, Stella and Guinness available on draught (three more than Annies across the road). I went for the Stella and thought that Id certainly had better elsewhere.
I think that most of the drinking that goes on in this establishment is to supplement the eating of food as I found it to be more restaurant than pub. Ive never been to a pub with a trough of fruit in the bar where my racing post should be sitting!
There is a beer garden/yard out the back but I would hardly call it wonderful, especially as the Coach and Horses beer garden is just around the corner and the seats look like they have been purchased from a greasy spoon.
Although I found the staff to be friendly I like my pubs so didn't rate this place very highly.

I went to The Treehouse last night. It was my first visit and me and my boyfriend had a great evening. "Ghost Town Showdown" were playing and were fantastic. The staff are very friendly and I would give this place 10 out of 10 for atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!

The Treehouse is a restaurant come bar. Great garden out back, jazz on Tuesday's, friendly staff. This is not a trendy in crowd type of place one of the comments made which is a bit alien to me. I have never known it to be like this.

not really a local but went last week for a meal with a couple of friends. seemed to be full of diners so im guessing its a popular place for the barnes crowd. lovely atmosphere, especially as there was a band playing in the corner of the room. we had a gorgeous little waitress serving us the whole evening who seemed to be running the whole place by herself. Definately worth another visit.

I do not know what the last reviever was on about. This pub is great, the staff are always friendly, I have eaten here loads and the food is always good. They also have a wonderful garden and they are very kid friendly. As to it being a trendy bar and a place to be seen in he obviously has not been out much.
|
Terrible atmosphere, people there to be seen at a "trendy" bar, rather than actually to enjoy being there. Beer overpriced but the Spindrift is rather good and at 4.30 a pint, it ought to be!
Food lacklustre and expensive. Staff are adequate without being anything special.
|
Good beer garden and upstairs area but the downstairs is more a restaurant and the food is very overpriced.
|
Great pub, with wonderful staff and a pleasant atmosphere. More of a restaurant than a pub to be honest.
|
I thought that the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. I would not eat there again though, I thought the food was very average and overpriced.

Grest food, relaxed atmosphere and most important of all superb desserts!

Whilst the decor & location are top notch, & on past occasions I have eaten very well here, a group of us had some impromptu drinks & food a week or so ago & I was extremly disappointed with both the attitude of the staff & the quality of the food. It wasn't busy at all & as far as I was aware there was no ostensible reason for this to be so (Chef's day off?). Unfortunately it means that we're less inclined to revisit & will probably be taking advantage of some other, better venues in the area.

The Tree house pub looks great inside and out with an excellent atmosphere. BUT i ordered the steak which i was told was the bestseller and believe me it wasn't. I can tell you now it was one of the worst steaks I've ever eaten and that for the price of 12.95 pounds. My girlfriend had a fish dish which was lovely. When the manager was clearing our plates she didn't ask us how our food was. When I told her that the steak wasn't to the standard I expected she told me that it was the bestseller and that she never had had a complaint before. She thought that by me telling her about the quality of the steak that I didn't want to pay for it but really I just wanted them to tell the chef that maybe in the future he should buy a better cut of meat. I never once got an apology and found her very rude. The Tree House is highly overrated for food and service with a very snobby attitude. They seem to think that they are a restaurant when in fact they are a pub. I would advise people to go to Annie's across the road.

Jane You are spot on, what a great place. It used to be a pub apparently, still has the feel of a pub come living room, come restaurant.Get on down there people.

Brilliant place for a quiet drink and some nibbles if you don't want the full monty. A bit like The Ivy in Covent Garden, very hard to get a table if you don't book well in advance.Love the place and they have a great terrace out back. To be checked out.

Cross between pub and very good food. Already well reviewed throughout the internet, considered by many as being the best food in Barnes. I'd agree!!
