Small bar dominated by a plethora of tv screens, big and small, making it a mecca for football watching, including 15:00 kick offs. As mentioned below it is a bit "laddish" and the noise of some of the punters was made worse by being reflected by the slate floor.
The place is spotlessly clean and tidy, with all the usual keg suspects on offer. The was one real ale: a decent enough pint of Pride, but at 3.40 in Woking I think that's taking the piss frankly.
Generally half empty, utterly lacking in atmosphere and run by a landlord who takes rude and obnoxious to new levels, shame because it was a decent little sports bar once upon a time...
Went in sunday lunch time and had the best roast dinner i had had in a long time.... staff extremely friendly, football was showing and was laddish at times, must be a man thing :-) but friendly faces, a real place for a mans man.....
Never seems to be very busy, a combination of not great beer and some very rude customers who seem to have the small town "hard man" attitude.
Does show live sport.
Good venue for watching live sport, good range of lagers. Ideal for couple drinks if your doing rounds in Woking.
Went on a Saturday night after eating at Bar-celona down the road - had time for a bottle of Becks and then, just gone midnight, the brash landlord refused to serve our group of six even though we were perfectly well behaved and he's licensed till 1.00am. He was rude to my missus after she asked a civil question about the cash machine. Place was empty. The average punter is probably put off by this landlord who acted like he was fed up with the responsibility of running the place. I wouldn't bother considering Archees again.
Hardly a drinkers paradise - think they do Becks Vier and Guinness?
i love this place.. good venue to hang out, very good food aswell
Agree it is a bit hit & miss but we watched some good football games here last summer and there was a great atmoshere
Shabby venue. Rubbish beer. 2 loud music. youngsters drunk hangout .
Good venue for a drunk session. Everyone here seems to get drunk. Is it me or do people tend to drink faster when its just lager they sell. Its entertaining enough though. Music videos to laugh at.
it's hit and miss depending on the crowd but all in all not a bad boozer - providing you like lager :-)
Not bad.
This is a superbly place venue on Goldsworth Road, it is with somewhat disappointment that they cannot bring themselves to sell one Ale. Could be better.
Something smell's fishy hey Mr :-)
Just kidding. The Tv's tend to show rip-roaring loud music, not a place for the Ale Drinker, Becks Vier on Tap is bearable.
hmm not bad place. ppl ar ok. weird fat welsh girl came onto me in there. hear shes the woking bike lol all in all ok place. beer good
Hit and Miss. Best to check out what nights are going on when as if you pick one that doesnt suit you wont actually appreciate this can be a nice place.
Personally I prefer to come here for an early evening drink when it is quite quiet. Then you can catch up with friends without listening to hardcore dance music.
Really nice to sit outside which is surprising given that it is on the main road but is quite relaxing.
Nice to be out of the main town too.

Well there are people in baseball caps here but on the whole I would say they're very civilised. I think people need to get over the stereotypes. The beer is pretty overpriced here so my advice would be to buy in bulk. Not much in the way of ale either if you're interested in that kind of thing. The music videos are really soft porn as this is the real reason people have for watching pop music videos though there are a few good songs.
I do understand why there is a barrel by one of the tables or an aquarium to the back of the room but maybe this mystery is unravelled over time.

Has become a sister pub to the Goldsworth over the road. Both of which have some ridiculous rules.
Nice enough but the service can be very slow. Quite a few wannabees in there but friendly enough.
Have to say this place is first class. Very enjoyable atmosphere, though admittedly does close a tad earlier than the Goldsworth Arms down the road. Tends to server lager more than ale really, but its entertaining with a few tv screens so take your choice!
Great pub. Brilliant staff and excellent choice of beers. Excellent for all sports. The best pub by far in Woking!
One of the better bars in Woking, good atmosphere, no little kids in baseball caps running aroung trying to start fights
Much better bet than the Goldie. Adult conversation, pleasant bar staff and a reasonable pint worth a visit.
one of the better places in a town devoid of decent places to drink. but that's no recommendation to say it's the best of a bad bunch. food has gone downhill over the last couple of years. beer too expensive. bar staff quite friendly though. 5/10 (but the best in woking)
A pretty insipid bar which is too smokey, even the bar staff smoke. It can get crowded in the evenings but very clicky. In need of a revamp and some decent food. One to give a miss.

Went here for New Year's Eve - 80's party. Very good up to midnight - then after midnight the DJ didnt play a single 80's song. When asked to play 80's classics such as "Gold" he claimed to have never heard of them. Baffled

Packed at lunch as the food here is great. Good music in the evenings although too busy at weekends.
