Just popped by on the way to visit friends at Leighton Buzzard. Lovely pub, friendly service and a good pint of Beach Comber beer and Hazy Daze cider. Would like to get to know the place better.

Things not great under the new landlord - beer is rather poor and the food isn't up to much.

We went to Totternhoe to look around as it was the home of my great grandparents. We called at the Old Farm Inn for lunch.
What a smashing genuine country pub - wonky quarry tiled floor and matt painted tongue and groove timbered walls and ceiling. No plastic tat just a nice comfortable place.
The food was excellent - lovely fresh salad, warm bread rolls and plenty of good hot food. The landlord and staff were friendly and welcoming too.
The locals included the farmer across the road who was having sandwiches - which must be a recommendation.

Oh dear. I remember when the place opened, how hopeful we all were.
Now it's tatty at the edges, smelling too often of chip fat, overloud muzak, poor gents' loo, with Pride now �2.85, ffs!!
Staff are pleasant and the "old" regulars too, but the "new" ones who came in and stayed after the "Cross Keys" fire are frankly pretty degenerate - loudmouthed, offensive in their language, always giving off violent vibes.
I gave up, and drove further to Long Marston - a trek but worth it to get decent ale at a decent price. I gather Paul is thinking of moving on (still). It's clear his heart is no longer in this place. I hear he may be selling it to Martin. That'll turn the place into an undertaker's...

Still excellent food served in this pub by landlord Paul (the chef). Bar staff are very pleasant and also the really nice guy that does the bbq's/bar etc mmm quite fanciable.

Things have changed. Paul, the landlord, seems to have lost interest in the place, the service has deteriorated, and the London Pride is now �2.70!!!!

A public bar usually full of locals.Farmers, builders,dominoes and darts players,and the geezer in the corner always engrossed in the Times Crossword (me).Fullers London Pride and ESB are the real ales, with a fortnightly changing guest, usually excellent. Beer is always bright and cold.Also a bit expensive (�2.50 at March 2004)).Food in the other bar-restaurant is good,though the occasional smell of chips is a bit offputting.Service is very good for drinks and food.
