The bar is in the shape of an L. Swansea vs Everton on the telly (BT Sports 1). I believe the ale on here was Hobgoblin but I didn't try it, two pints of Kronenbourg came to 5 pound which is good value. Barmaid seemed okay and the locals were fine. A couple were quite loud talking about the football.

Pub is now owned by Last Orders and is called the Nags Head. Does a good pint of Youngers Bitter. Pubs is pretty busy most afternoons with mainly middle aged drinkers. Decent pub.

Hello, My Megagreat grandfather, Matthias Farnsworth, hailed from Eccles in the 1600s before sailing for Massachusetts, US. Can anyone suggest what type of ale or other brew might he have imbided there? Thanks Paul

Consistently busy pub with great atmosphere. Once inside you feel a million miles away from some of the more seedy pubs that are nearby. Go check it out...enjoy ya self!

One of the..even maybe the best pub in eccles. Made out in traditional Irish decor..and such a great atmosphere on the weekend. Probably the only pub on church street guarenteed to get packed on a weekend. Try it, Im sure you will like it!
