I've never been on "neighbours night" and have no desire to. However I do like visiting this place whenever I'm in St. Kilda, it has a smallseating area out front, a mid-size bar area and a large function room out the back. It's handy for a swift ale or two before or after visiting the junction oval across the road too.

Brilliant but went for the usual backpacker reasons.
Did manage to see Toadie's sweaty arse humping away at some impressionable Brit in the loos which was a personal crowning moment in life

We were there last Saturday night for the first time, and the actual place was alright but the band really sucked. Improve the music, that may improve the clientelle that frequent the place. Change the band, and the two brightest stars of Melbourne may return.

this pub was fricken crazy best pub i have ever been to , the band that was there the chumps bloody rocked , i would go there again any day

im irish and i lived in st kilda for two years the eley and whelly was a great place in general but especially a great place to get laid

im from europe and i really enjoyed parting at the elephant and wheellbarrow, however i met a person (well i think it was a person) he called himself ZAC and he shattered my night completely, apart from that freak everything was well, i will look forward to coming there again soon in the near future. I think this pub is F*@kin s*#@, it has no atmosphere, its not British and its well over priced...in fact its increase its prices to rip of the tradition British, when they are here in force with the cricket....I think you are a fool to go there
