Paid another visit on one of our cycle trips recently, Music was certainly better on this visit, and had a reasonable pint of Harvey's also Stowford's for the missus

One of the worst pubs I've ever been to - this opinion sadly has not been formed on a one-off visit but over many where I have been dragged there against my will. Never again! It's expensive even for Tonbridge, house drinks are watered down, beer tastes off and the staff are rude and regulars are odd and unwelcoming. Don't bother, even wetherspoons is better than this and half the price!

Nice old and traditional building both inside and outside, let down by a poor selection of Ales, Tribute is not one of my favourites; and the music was particularly unsuited to such a nice traditional pub
|
Drink tasted awful, the bar lady was moody and landlord was rude and abusive. Shocking situation when I explained that my drink tasted wrong and that it was so unpleasant that I couldn't drink it. They don't deserve to have customers and I won't be going back.

Rude, surly staff and drinks that taste awful. Poorly kept Harveys and all carbonated soft drinks like coke and lemonade are completely flat and tasteless.
Bar staff (particularly the owner) refused to listen. Horrible place. Shan't be going back.

nice pub, friendly and welcoming

A hiddley piddley place and also given its name had only women in at 5.30pm on a Saturday! Second best pub in Tonbridge!
|
I lived in Tonbridge for two years, just around the corner from this pub - but never actually paid it a visit.
Then, over the Xmas period just gone, I visited twice and found the place to be extremely good. The beer - Harveys - was excellent, with a very friendly service.
The pub has a fairly low ceiling and snug feel about it. There is a TV in the pub, but it isn't too intrusive - and plenty of corners to hide away from the footie crowd (if there's a game on).
It has quite an olde worldy charm about it - feels just like a real pub should - a place for conversation and relaxation.
|
Not the best-kept pint of Harveys in town, but this smallish backstreet pub makes a pleasant enough change from some of the more obvious venues along the nearby Tonbridge High Street.

Agree with earlier comment about not bothered with "non regulars" Beer wasn't the best either.
|
A nice friendly backstreet pub. Good beer and a lively atmosphere on a friday. Great quiz night on a thursday.

did'nt mind it in here but more sunday pub not night time place fit landlady
|
like this one been here loads b4 bit smokey but hey
|
hmmm not a lot wrong or right clean and friendly but a bit clicky
|
Traditional local. Children allowed only in the back bar which is a bit of a corridor and smokey, but the front bar by the fire is excellent. Let's hope it's never modernised...
|
Smashing little family run pub off the main high street. Very friendly staff who are always welcoming to both regulars and new comers alike. Quiz nights on Thursdays and DJ on Fridays.
Dart bard open to all and most sport shown on one of its two TV's over the weekends.
Roaring open fire place for those winter evenings.
