The chef now works in The Queen Boadicea on St John Street...

This has closed down, I think.

I love this pub, Has a proper old mans boozer feel about it, The djs on the weekend are of high quality, The food is too good to be classed as 'pub food', great jukebox and the quiz on a Wednesday is always a laugh

Expensive, crammed to the rafters, unfriendly-to-rude bar staff. Deafening, upbeat music played by an in-house DJ. Very popular with an extremely young crowd.

I used to live around the corner from this pub and still go back form time-to-time. Great place.
One word of warning, don't be a Homer and go for the Duff beer. The very small print says it's low alcohol and I missed it - couldn't figure out why it tasted so weak.

Gorgeous - This place looks & feels spot on! Nice food and pleasant staff. It may be a bit on the small side, but it more than makes up for it in style. A must see!

A veritable gastro-pub in the heart of suburban Islington, attracting a lively crowd. One real ale, usually Charles Wells Bombardier, is available on handpump.
Doubles up as one of the best-known DJ bars in this part of London, with a choice range of music played. Sunday evenings are especially renowned for the lively gigs. Smart casual dress essential.
The jukebox is a must between DJ gigs, and the food is very good. An upstairs room, complete with sofas, etc., is available for hire subject to a deposit.
Sunday lunches are great here, and tables must be booked.
The pub is set in a fine building, illuminated by tungsten throughout and the internal woodpannelling provides for a warm welcoming atmosphere in which to have fun.
Walkable from Angel tube station. Try it out!
