Poachers Arms, Hopeback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Visited at end Oct 2011. Bombardier on tap which was excellent. Good landlord/ lady - interested in customers and chatty. Pub in good order. Food was terrific, plenty of choice too. We stayed a couple of nights and the room was very good.

It's clearly had a lot of money spent on it, but the current look struck me as being clinical and more a place to eat than drink. Having said that, they did have three ales on offer and there was nothing wrong with the beer.

Just spent 3 nights in Poachers Arms and had a fantastic time, new Landlord+Landlady wonderful. They had only been open 9 weeks since major re-fit, everything lovely now, roms, food din'nt venture in the mens loo but my son assures me its fine too. hope folk who had bad time may give it a try now, it's in a prime location for walking, would be a shame to be put off by previous experience. We will be going back.

Now owned by Punch, the pub's been completely refurbished.
You'll be pleased to know that this included the rooms & the gents toilets :-)

Avoid at all costs - during an unfortunate stay last weekend we refused to pay the full amount due to the disgusting state of the accomodation and unresolved breach of fire regulations (leaving a fire exit blocked despite warnings). This is an absolute hovel !! In light of the rooms I wouldnt wish to eat here.
