Ten years ago this was the pub for lock-ins. Guaranteed boozing till ridiculously early hours with a pretty scary bunch of people, though it didn't really matter as you wouldn't go there unless you were stupidly high or absolutely shitfaced. It had a makeover in the mid-noughties, after which it was a pleasant trendy pub but usually empty. Now turned into a block of flats.

Bought a bronze half pint measure with ( The Queen Bellefield Rd SW ) engraved on the base. Thought I would check the pub out,too late by a few months it seems!

This former pub is now a hole in the ground.

This pub has now closed! It is currently surrounded by scaffolding and looks like it is being demolished.

Very disappointing. Totally empty when we arrived at about 2pm. The furniture/tables were worn-out, the glasses and eating utensils were not clean. This place is more suitable in total darkness, or with very dimmed lights. Later I took a quick check inside the nearby Beehive pub, which seemed a far better place to settle for a meal and a pint.

The range of drinks is a little slim and a touch pricey. If the lack of real ale doesn't break your heart, the gorgeous barstaff will.

I go regularly to this pub and really appreciate the friendly staff and quick service. The atmosphere has definitely improved over recent months as have the number of customers. The large screen tv and the food at the weekends have helped. Try it.

nice enough place - refurbished last year - bar staff are pleasant, but places lack a little in atmosphere now...

The Queen was always a good place for an illicit late night drink, it has recently changed hands and is now back within the law offering good ale and food. Worth a go though don't expect a lock in.
