Now a Cafe Nero

Formerly a reasonable hostelry this is now as nice as Satan's armpit. Vile Tapas crap, avoid like a suppurating boil.
i went to this so called pub with a few friends, the place stunk the tapa's food was vile and cold, and the chicken was still raw and frozen in the middle. we complained but they refused to amend the bill. The so called manager was very rude and needs to learn some people skills. This place is a no go area, avoid it...seriously over priced to..
No longer a pub - now a Tapas bar called La Castilla.
This pub/bar or restraunt is an aweful place to visit, AVOID at all costs plenty of other places to go.
Used to be a good little pub. Now a horrible bland expensive bar. Avoid.
Can sometimes be interesting to sit outside and watch the world go by (and choke on the exhaust fumes). This place needs to define what it is. Is it a pub or a restaurant? Currently fails on both counts and I'd probably choose Borrellis.
Expected to hate this pub but... its not that bad. Just doesnt do anything special. The drinks are expensive, music can be a bit much on the weekends. Doesn't really spin my wheel. I can take it or leave it to be honest.
Door staff may be a necessary evil, but there's no need to be heavy-handed and overly intimidating with a couple of middle aged ladies, as happened to my mum and her friend recently.
I avoid Farnham cos I don't want to drink in the sort of place that employs door staff in case they want to throw me out and don't want to have to ask nicely. Almost every pub and bar in Farnham seems to have them.
I hate that whole "five minutes ago we were chuffed to take your money but now sling your hook and be quick about it you schlaag!" attitude.
No wonder there's so much trouble on the mean streets of Farnham when everybody is unceremoniously turfed out onto the pavement all at the same time feeling aggrieved.
I completely disagree with the other reviewers! The Coach is smart and clean, The bar staff are always cheerful and chatty. The beer and tapas are good (admittedly not cheap)Weekend Door staff are a necessary evil. This is a bar rather than a pub.
What have they done to this pub????? used to be a great town centre traditional pub now looks like something out of a bad American soap. No decent beer just lager, bootled beer and alcopops all hideously overpriced as was the food.
The only upside was the food was ok if you don't mind being ripped off by a licenced bandit!!!
Won't go there again.
Words cannot express how sad the place is, was once half decent as someone posted 'about 12 years ago' if this building had feelings they would be suicidal ones, avoid at all costs.
Rude rip off merchants where they encourage you to buy another round at last orders and then kick you out immediately as soon as they have your money. "Security staff" are purposefully intimidating and aggressive.
The bar area looks pretty out of place when you walk in off Castle Street. The restaurant area is painted in a colour you'd more likely paint your bathroom. (Personally, I wouldn't even paint my downstairs bog that colour.) There's plenty of better places to go in Farnham
Hideous. We didn't even finish our drink. I've never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome anywhere before.
There is so much choice in Farnham that there is absoloutely no need to ever set foot in this nasty establishment. Ugh.
Was once the finest pub in town, sadly that was over 12years ago. Now it trades as one of those ghastly make-over bars cattering for the needs of chinless wonders.

We're a group of 8 or so 30 somethings - and after a meal at Cafe Uno we popped in here for a drink before heading home. At 10:55 the barman asked if we wanted another round so we bought one, and at 11:05 we were on the street looking at our untouched drinks through the big bullseye glass windows! Biggest rudest rip off merchants ever!
