I take my hat off to this place for selling sausage rolls and scotch eggs from behind the bar (although they are 2 each).
They have plenty of lager for sale, but both Adnams pumps were off on my visit. They have 2 plasma screens, although they are very small. Talking of small, they have shed loads of spirit miniatures on display behind the bar, not sure what that is all about.
The music is pretty good and I wouldnt mind going back in here again.

Fine for watching sports on a Satruday but they royally screwed up my booking of the private room upstairs with no apology whatsoever, but instead were sour, surly and unhelpful.

Not sure how I ended up in here as I would normally sooner die than enter a place called 'Liberties'. Just goes to show you how narrowing prejudice can be. Actually one of the better pubs in Camden, with plenty of seats and good comedy upstairs.

had a nice little fire going here last night and a decent pint of pride, good enough for a swift half.

spent a few nights in this place chatting to a few members of madness, top place in my book 10/10

ok for a couple saturday afternoon, the food is average, decent place to watch sport, staff pleasent and place is generally well run, which is more than can be said for the vast majority of London pubs.

A pub we visit afer work. Good and attentive bar staff. Average range of well kept beers. Not tried the food. OK in a large group, not sure i'd enjoy it as a local? No pikey types. Below average toilets.

Favourite pub in Camden at the moment. Interior works well, feels cosy, although being right on the highstreet. Never over busy, music isn't too loud and the service is very good. As stated before, Gonzo is rather odd, but very entertaining. Also, now it's getting all cold, the heating is great and they've got an small open fire. Looking forward to a few boozy x-mas evenings in there. Also, stays open a little later.

good (and cheap) comedy upstairs on wednesday, friendly (enough) barstaff - nothing spectacular but a pleasant place to spend an evening with friends

I think if you'd known this pub about seven or eight years ago, you'd be amazed at the turnaround. This was a place to avoid at all costs and was only slightly better than the Wheatsheaf (now Belushis) down the road. As for the service, pick a night when the completely certifiable Portugese guy, Gonzalo< is working. Hard to miss totally bald and bouncing off the walls. As to food, can't comment, you want food? Go to a restaurant. (He says, sucking on his woodbine and muttering to himself like an old git)

Functional pub that offers little beoynd the basic, but the basic well.
Food is very much edible, though a little bit on the pricey and the food service is TERRIBLE at lunch times (you'll either be late back, or eating a steak bagette at your desk).
The Pride is generally strong and the service good, the prices are middle of the road to expensive - 2.50 Pride 2.60 Guiness - and its a nice enouh wooden pub to see through a quiet mid week drink.
Reccomended for a) quietly watching the football mid week or b) the comedy on weds (5 in).

Same management as the Crown & Goose and I'm not sure that the "laid-back, classy" approach works so well on the High Street. Never really seen the point of this one to be honest.

this is nice. good beer, chilled out clientelle. nice work.

I agree Travis's comments, nice barmaids though!

Living all of about 50 years away, I tried to like this pub, but have utterly failed. Yes, the Pride is above average, but there is just something intrinsically dull about the place, even if all you want is a quiet drink. It could do with a couple of old soaks to liven up the place or something. That would certainly help more than the TV news being on mute.
I'm still going to give it a 5, just because that it's a dull mark as well.

Good beer selection - (draft Hoegaarden & Becks) bottled Budvar, and the London Pride is usually drinkable, though does have its off days. The menu changes frequently. Drinks are very expensive in here, and if it gets just a little bit busy, the service can get very slow (but usually pretty!).

A high street pub serving good food at lunchtimes, quite spacious. Reasonably low-level recorded music. Fullers London Pride available on hand pump. Not a bad pub all in all, but the glasses could be cleaner!
