Have used this pub occasionally never when bugde had it but it looks good now and seems very welcoming to me not a clicky pub like some others in town very nice to sit outside in the summer.

Well if your in the local football team then it's an ok pub to be in, but if your not then get out. Bring back Budge.

i have to admit when teh pub re-opened it wasnt making the most of its prime location, and as wassaid the beer wasnt good although i do sympathise with teh mess the new landlords were left with, it was teh only time i have ever left a drink behind. i have been back since then and have to say it is definatly better than it was, or has been for years. and the various bits and pieces going on are making it worth a visit again. best of luck to everyone there.

I haven't been to this pub for a few years but the beer was always good and well kept and the atmosphere was fun and lively. Happy memories!

Hi there Martin, I'm one of the new landlords of the Wheatsheaf. Sorry your beer wasn't good when you visited us. Something we are trying to improve all the time. Unfortunately the equipment like the rest of the building had been neglected for quite a time. Furniture has also been rectified with some much more solid stuff after the stopgap stuff that got us through the reopening period. Outside seating is still there with Table Service planned for the summer months this year.
Hope you come back and have a better time, look forward to hearing your comments next time.

full of garden furniture after the takeover, looks a bit tacky and the beer is TERRIBLE but on the whole a good atmosphere shame they took away the outside seating
