Rose of Mossley, Mossley Hillback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Couldn't really find too much to recommend about this pub. It only had the bog standard range of keg products. The one cask ale - Tetleys was off. It's a large pub with plenty of seating not too far from Mossley Hill station. If you're after decent beers (and cider) and don't mind drinking in a more modern-looking bar, try Pi, just the other side of the station. It had 4 ales, 1 cider, an impressive bottle selection and Pieminster pies.

Still one of my favourite south Liverpool pubs. Well, there's not many to choose from in Mossley Hill apart from the Storesdale which is only a 10 minute walk away; or you can go to all of the "trendy" bars (or Yate's) on Allerton Road.
No ales at the Rose, just the usual stuff and they serve food 7 days a week! The bar staff are friendly, they show sport on TV and there's a covered decked/patio area around the back.
Only really gets busy on fridays and saturdays.

Pleasant, welcoming pub with a decent pint of Guinness at 2.65.

Now 2.65 for a Stella. No real ale but it's a good place and is always busy (but not too busy!). It's a better alternative to Yates's on Allerton Road!

May be aimed at older people but I am 19 and live in the Uni halls nearby - me and my mates love it for a quiet evening drink, then stop off at the best chippy ever on the way home!! (Chris's for those who arent in the know) Booze may be expensive, but the food is AMAZING and CHEAP!!

Oh my word... I've lived in Mossley Hill all my life.. (born '76) This pub is definately 30+ more like 60+, it is definately placid, and a good place to start your night off (briefly), but as for the beatles... well that it definately doesn't reflect... not one bit.. more to the point, Penny Lane is 10 minutes away, and worlds apart. My advice is give this pub a miss, I go there because it's the nearest one to my house! It's VERY clicky, (everyone knows eveyone else!) even I feel an outsider (thankfully). Also just to carry on the negativity, it's 2.40 a pint of Stella (it's cheaper in the town centre!, and thats saying somthing)

A great pub, this one. It's a real Liverpool place. Walk in and it's likely you'll hear The Beatles. Full of locals ranging from 18-80, though it's main clientele is about 30+. Even as a 19 year old, this is how I like it. Me and my mates can be found in the back room playing darts of a Friday night. This pub has everything, lovely staff, good selection of beers, it smells like a proper pub. And it has a beer garden in the summer. Another bonus is Chris's chippy, about a 30 second walk from the pub door!
