Has one real ale on. Has pool table and frequent live music.

We tried to go in on Sunday and it was shut.

Good pub, Good as a stop off before 5th's and it's open late. Beer is ok and always lively when I've been in.

Basically a Youth Club.I'm convinced at 31 I was the oldest person in the place! That said it's a good atmosphere and can't complain about the beer.

This used to be a really good pub to be in but now it has started to go down hill. The atmosphere isn't as welcoming and friendly as it was.

This used to be such a good pub put after a 'sensitive makeover' i.e. posters and a pool table it has lost all its character and the biggest problem is the rats.

Fantastic pub. The edition of the pin ball machine makes it even better. Now you have a choice of pool, fruit machines or pin ball.

Great pub, had fantastic nights here. Great choice of music on juke box. Excellent staff, friendly atmosphere, good place to sit and chill with mates on the comfy sofa's. Quiz night on tuesday is always a laugh. Gets lively on Friday and Saturday with the indie crowd on the way to 5th ave. Great Pub - Enough Said!!!

Great for indie loving students on there way to 5th Ave. One of the most expensive pubs around though, so make sure youve got plenty of pennies

The Old Garrett. I was the licencee in 1986-1989 and have to say this was my favourite Managed house pub in the 30 years now that I have been in the trade. Strangely I have only visited this bar once since I left and that was back in 1991. A great atmosphere with a great hybrid of customers. Good to see that it is still alive and kicking!! Discover the local myth of the 'bulls**t corner', a small area at one end of the bar, proudly demarcated by a shiney, brass plaque - this is a proper zone of indistinction for locals/regulars/wayfareing strangers to come together, chin wag, gossip, talk shop and generally puff/ruff up each others' plumes. Friendly as ever, the Garrett succesfully mergers the often contrasting notions of local/stranger.

Good beer, great, wholesome, down-to-earth food, homely staff, well-kept pool table, sentimental jukebox, traditional decor, professional clientel in the day turns into indie crowd come night-time.
