please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Best pub in Edenbridge, reasonable range of beers and lagers and a guest ale. Food's not bad, but they tend to stop serving early if its a bit quiet. Good to see a pool table there aren't many places that still have them.

Absolutely excellent Pub. The history obviously drops the rating and shod be removed! I found the Landlord & his Wife very welcoming and they kept a splendid pint! My group had Harveys, Old Eden & 1965 the latter two from the Westerham Brewery. Great atmosphere and good local food available.

Excellent pub with great range of ales and a nice atmosphere.

The only reason this pub's score is the lowest in the village is its history: clearly used to be a cold lager and hot heads pub; the latter now dispersed up the road. Now the best pub in Edenbrige by far. Just landed here after The King and Queen and Old Crown, checking out the local pubs after moving here at the weekend. Went to the Wheatsheaf on Sat too.

Good range (five on handpump) of well-kept beers, friendly staff, low hum of blokey chat, small fire in the grate and a clean and tidy, old-fashioned English village pub look.

Don't look at the score, look at the most recent reviews, they're all bang on (apart from price quibbles - might be more for a pint here but worth every penny.)

Definitely worth a stop, even a small diversion.

A fine traditional inn, which has been renovated sympathetically to retain a good deal of character in the timbered interior whilst modernising the facilities. The bar isn't that large, but there is restaurant up a flight of stairs in a mezzanine area and the layout does include several different seating areas and a pool table. A small-ish beer garden can also be found out back. There are five handpumps offering three ales from the nearby Westerham Brewery (including a decent pint of 1965 at 3.40) plus Harveys and a cider.

Since the new owners took over a few years ago this pub has been transformed. It used to be a pub to be avoided, not only for the somewhat youthful clientel but also for the poor beer. Now however, this has all changed. With 4 real ales on tap, 4 lagers too and a decent wine list all it needs is decent food......well it has that also. Locally sourced and organic where possible does mean it's not the cheapest but is certainly well worth it.

Architecturally interesting and historically worthy, but VERY expensive. I mean, 3.35 for a pint! that eclipses all the other pubs in town. Food ditto.

Enjoyed a recent visit to this pub, my first in many years. The Landlord was very affable and makes a good host. The range of beers was excellent and every one we tried was in great condition, we even stayed longer than intended. Will not leave it so long before visiting again.

Our coach trip landed up here yesterday and i was most bemused. This pub is not worth a visit if I was caught short i would find somewhere better to pss in ! The beer was fairly good and was nearly a saving grace.

Get the impression that the Landlord is trying hard to make this a good real ale pub, always has the westerham beers on and recently some pretty good harveys too. Can be a bit souless but the landlord should be congratulated for trying to run a decent beer pub in an otherwise crappy little town

changed hands again since last report and reverted to old name of "the old eden"..this is a beautiful old pub only spoilt by the customers who seem to be just out of nappies!! ok in the day but its a brave man who goes in the evenings..needs a strong hand to weed out the troublemakers..then it could be the best pub in edenbridge..in fairness though the new tenants are trying hard and i wish them all the best..i shall return to see how they fare..

This pub has changed hands and is now called the Willows - very bucolic but filled with chavs and the beer is too cold.

Old wooden beamed (these look real for a change) with wide frontage. This olde worlde building was then combined with pool, TVs and games machines
