user reviews of the Red Lion, Chesham

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Went here because the Red Squirrel place was closed. No decent beer. Full of lone men drinking Stella and watching Sky Sports. Not for me.

The pub is a much more friendly pub. Families are welcome and family fun days have been organised. The managers have worked hard to encourage fund raising charity events for local causes and national charities. Regular karaoke nights and discos have taken place and have been a great success. Admittedly the pub has had a bad reputation in the past and understandably people removed from the pub over the last year are going to use the review site to post bad reviews all I ask is that people go and expereince the pub for themselves.

Use to be a great pub, about 7 years ago, seems to have slowly gone down hill, still allowing children in and the obvious druggies and drug dealers, can think of many better pubs to go to in chesham. Shame really cos it could be a great pub

I played a gig here about a week ago and I'd never been in the pub before. On the day of the gig I thought I'd check out some comments on this pub and was well lets just say I was a bit weary!!!!! But I can safely say this pub is changing. After speaking with the lovely landlady Debbie she was telling me about how she has got rid of the "coke heads" amd is trying to make something of this pub. I would recommend it to anyone as soon it will be the central hub for Live music in Chesham.

Kids! Kids! Not a nice place to be, unless you are very young and have little taste bud experience. To be avoided as there is plenty of choice very close by. Music is so loud you have to go outside talk to each other.

Aaah, The Red Lion. The watering hole and mating place of the lesser-spotted chav. It feels like every other pub in a chain with no real individuality. You feel as though a fight could kick off at any moment. Cheap drinks though. I prefer it in the daytime if I fancy a couple of drinks.

Chavs galore!!! Expect a fight if you happen to be there on a Friday or Saturday night.
