Now called something like the "Mekki Lounge", lease for sale sign on the place assume it is shut as a pub.

This place didn't last long as the B-B-C at all, last time I walked past it was trading as the Cricketers but looked to have no customers. I'm told that the place is now no longer trading as a pub at all?

A trendily decorated bar that was, on a saturday afternoon in December, absolutely dead. This place obviously depends on the student trade to keep going and when I popped in there was no such passing trade. No ale is available, and I nearly suffered a heart attack when I was charged 3.50 for my pint of Amstel. Good grief. I'll not be returning so long as the prices are ridiculously high. What a rip-off.

Was originally going to visit the pizza express next door but was full and I am so glad it was. The pub serves the best pizzas i have tried out side of london amazing choice of crazy toppings try it out you won't be disappointed drinks a little on the pricy side but worth it for the food.

go down on a saturday night for some supprise tunes, great dj will pay almost anything you fancy, beer a little pricey but worth it for the end of a good night, comfy seatind if your lucky lol. try it out!

Nice busy Fun packed pub (if a little pricey) However they do run student and promo night, which makes the prices more reasonable; Nice surrowndings, so I guess thats reflected in the price; Good staff, and very happy door men! nice, when busy.

Hard to recommend. Definitely a bar, rather than a pub. The bar has a distinct lack of real ales, but an abundance of chavs.
Pity the poor people living in nearby residential streets.

It's definately a bar, not a pub. No real beer but all sorts of fashionable drinks. Very young and cool, avoid if you're over 30! It is well thought-out though and has a good vibe, if quite pretentious

Great place at all times, great for a few on a sunday, they have a Wii!!! also great for weekend nights, fit staff, great atmostphere, saying its one of the best places in Winch isn't really saying a lot but still true.

Didn't see much beer to get excited about in here, certainly no ales!
|
Does it claim to be a Belgian beer bar? Only Hoegaarden on tap and Leffe in bottles - that was it!

great place to spend the evening, different dj nights keep it alive, nice garden enjoy it a lot especialy on a sat night when the eclectic dj is playing all walks of tunes from soul to rock through the years. RECOMMEND.

Grumpy staff with funny haircuts, expensive drinks, awful cocktails and bad music. Full of 'cool' wintonians - with ripped jeans, pink-t-shirts and diamond earings - thats just the boys. Look down on you because mummy and daddy don't own half of hampshire - avoid, avoid avoid!

Kind of the place to be seen in Winchester, however that aside not a bad late drinking hole, with one of the best gardens in town and great music.

This place is billed as a 'beer cafe'. In other words a pub. Don't be tempted. Go over the road to the Rising Sun for an honest pint and - if you're lucky - a free kicking. Beer cafe indeed. Cue Family Fortunes-style noise to accompany a 'X' response and Coniwot zero score.

Good place to end the evening at the weekend, great selection of drinks, good music and lively atmosphere, closest Winchester has to a bar/club.

try their gourmet burgers, that's all i can suggest.... fast food at its healthiest, it's a top stylish and sophisticated bar....a couple of the female staff could do with a bit of livening up though.

Great little bar for Winchester. Very chilled place during the week, and goes off on Friday and Saturday nights. DJs many nights. Pricey drinks, but that tends to keep the riff-raff out. Ask Simeon behind that bar what happened to the windmill.

Revamped 'pub/bar' with a twist in that it sells (expensive) bottled european beers in a cool, contemporary atmosphere. This combined with a late licence at weekends singles it out as a place for the hip-and-happening generation to hang out till the wee hours.
