Good sized pub next to station.
Quit busy last Sat evening just after 5 . Good service
Lots of TV's showing footy results.
Have 3 hand pumps. One with Hobgoblin has the clip turned round.
The others were Sptifire and London Pride.
I went for a pint of the later which was very nice and cost 2.85 a pint.

i had sunday lunch here with my husband. For a sunday lunchtime the pub was very quite with only a few people at the bar watching the grand prix.
The food was well presented and hot if not a bit small but was good value for money.
We found the barstaff to be very attentive not always something you get when you are not a local.
Having read previous reviews my husband says maxwall is alive and cooks a mean roast dinner.

The Red Barn is not the best pub in the area when you compare it to the travellers and the yacht.
But is a welcome relief after getting off the train.
The food deals are very good especially the steak ones. and the 2 for 1 offers. And the chef looks like Max Wall which is made more funny when you realise its a women.
All said the Barn is a good friendly pub with a mix of young and old customers.

Friend went there for mother's day. Two members of staff shouted at her, and spoke to her rudely (including the manageress), just because her food order was wrong, and she merely asked if it would be a wait for the correct dish, or should she keep what she had. She was given uncooked chips twice, and on returning them to the barmaid the second time said chips came out still undercooked, was called a slut by this member of staff. Most of the clientelle were local types, so she didn't want to cause too much of a problem with the very rude manageress and barmaid, in case they started causing more problems. In conclusion very rude, and bad experience.

The Barn is my local pub, and I've been coming here for years. I even worked here for a short time. As pubs go, its ok - it has something for everyone really, reasonable food (except the mixed grill - yuk), big screen sports in the largest of its three bars, a pool table in the front bar and a cosy side bar with sofas. It serves a varied choice of lagers, plus three real ales which have recently been changed (due to takeover) to include Marston's Pedigree, London Pride and a regularly changing guest, although this one usually takes the form of Wychwood's Hobgoblin, which is a cracking pint. As has been said before, some of the clientele are pretty yobbish at times but not too bad (they also seem to be really young - maybe I'm just getting old?) but I have a lot of time for the older regulars whom I've known for years, all decent friendly people who always say hello and are no bother whatsoever.

All in all, its not the best pub in the world by a long chalk, but you could do a hell of a lot worse!

Staff rude and verge of racist, customers full of hard men wanna be's. Beer selection not bad. Atmosphere could be bad if said the wrong thing to the wrong person. Not so welcoming if new customer. Needs to get rid of bad attitude in order for this pub to be considered a decent one!!!

Drunk in here a few times, but only during the afternoon. Not a bad place, never felt unwelcome or noticed any problems going on whilst being there.

They had Guiness Red when I was there and happily sat with a few pints of that with my mate over a few hours. The bar staff ranged from efficient to just plain useless. Never rude but just not very good at the job in hand.

Would go there again to have a quiet drink but imagine the evening would be a little raucous so would probably avoid.

All in all not bad and always worth, trying in nearby. But not really a place to head out of your way to.

lovely food, not a great selection of beers, some customers are too loud and management could do with clamping down on these people.

A station pub of sorts and the only drinking establishment in Barnehurst, The Red Barn bares all the traits of a real local. The groups that assemble inside are primarily lads and the banter, basic. The atmosphere was just a little off, both inside the pub and in the spacious, outside sections. Drink selection was okay, with London Pride and Youngs providing the sensible drinker with an alternative to Stella and the only 1 pound extra double vodka and mixer. Perhaps, Im being a little too harsh here, there were after all, no major problems on my visit last night (2nd June) and I had a pleasant enough evening. I just dont think youll ever catch me in here again, thats all.

nice pub, manager could be stronger with certain customers as they seem to be able to control the pub.

Looks bigger from outside than it is in. Beer staff and food spot on and the atmosphere was great. No chavs here they must send them off into town. Great on weekends even better on mondays with cheap pints!!

Live local and often go into the pub. Often out of beer and wait a year to get served. Would be better with new manager
