Don't like. Some girls were staring a fight in the loos and a couple decided to dry hump in the bar area. Music is awful and its sweaty and sticky. One good thing is that if you go once and get asked for id they somehow remember you and dont ask again. and it doesn't take that long to get served!

Fair play to this pub for trying to put live music on in York, where it is much needed, but it really is the "pound shop" of the music venues in york. Low grade, shouty, death metal bands.
beer is pretty appalling too, I assume the landlord hasnt cleaned the lines since the late 19th century.

Really good crowd of people frequent this pub. Attitudes are left at the door.
I would recommend goin on a tuesday night when there are a team of djs playin their own taste in music.
Good selection of drinks, a juke box and widescreen tv

everyone dresses like vampires and there are no seats. bands that were surely last in line for names can often be seen and unfortunately heard.
ah whatever. still gets a 9 as who am i to dilute everyone elses fun.

bloody great pub. perhaps the best alernative night in york. good variety of bands; everything from old-school rock to metal to goth. apart from free drinks, what more could you ask for!

u gotta go, checkout the jukebox and the talent behind the bar! free pool on monday nights and loads of drinks promos. student discount too! this pub rocks!

excellent alternative place! reasonable prices, pool table and bands play here, staff are nice and its goth night last saturday of every month. Very friendly atmosphere great night but only prob is it only open till 11... but they going to get a late night license hopefully woohooo
