Visited a couple of weeks ago. One bar reserved for a private party as was a large table in the main bar. Only one draught bitter on tap. Two different football games with really load commentaries and customers who seemed very indifferent to the opportunity to watch said entertainment. Landlord totally infexible about volume on commentary so we quaffed our pints and went to the Black Jug for an altogether more enjoyable evening.

Interior not very inspiring and not the friendliest atmosphere for some reason, but I've had some good beers here - they deserve praise for often having Horsham brews from Hepworth, WJ King and Weltons. Bar stuff are always friendly, prices a little high. Needs a bit more to become my local even though it's the closest to me.

7.33 for a pint of lager and glass of mediocre white wine....... no wonder the supermarkets are doing well!

Pssst......
They're Scottish, you know, couldn't you tell?

I like this pub however two price rises in the space of two weeks at 10p a go? Not the most economical pub to drink in to start with.

Great pub with great beer, only food at lunchtimes is a shame though.

I hadn't been in here for quite a while. One of the bars had been done up with light colours, stripped-wood, chromed fittings, tall lager fonts etc. I thought (wrongly) that this would be the younger clientele's bar but no; they were all in the other side with the dark wood and the hand-pumps (and the big TV screen and loud music, natch).I stayed in the "moderne" (but quiet)bar and enjoyed good service and conversation.Beer somewhat pricey though, nearly 3 per pint.

Good sized pub , bit dear on the drinks, but can't be that dear as one of the lads spent haldf the night puking outside after knocking back a bit too much.

Great sports pub with big screens and many tvs, pool tables and a top juke box, really good atmosphere in here always, never gets to crowded. pints are a bit pricey looking at 3 plus.

This has been my local for years. Although I have not visited in months due to work reasons it still remains a pleasure to visit here. The home made lunches may be simple but they are honestly priced and most certainly fresh. No other pub in Horsham could claim fresher food.

Great bar for locals, I've been coming here for just over 5 years. Well run with good staff. They go the extra mile for big sporting events. The other advantage is one bar caters for the lively atmosphere with music, pool tables etc. While the other is more laid back and is a good place to relax with the paper. The usual range of drinks you'd expect but they do get some good local brews in as guest beers.

Great pub, no frills just an honest boozer. Very limited good food only at lunchtimes. Lovely beer and a no smoking bar. Nice rear courtyard. Very good pool tables and excellent rugby on numerous screens of main bar. Real pleasure is in the no smoking quiter bar though.

A large, three storey, street-corner, locals pub, it is situated behind the station and painted in eye-catching light and dark blue. A relatively recently refurbished two room interior reflects this external colour design. On the Station Road side is a spacious L-shaped room with blue carpet, light yellow walls and pale green ceiling. The longer part of the L contains a smart looking bar of light coloured wood, some matching tall chairs and tables and a smattering of Beryl Cook pictures on the walls. It also houses two pool tables with blue baize, a dartboard and two conventional televisions, one of which is tuned to the Sky Sports soccer review. This end leads onto a patio garden. The shorter end of the room has blue upholstered chairs around pale wood tables, a flat screen television, plus several modern decorative paintings with a jazz theme. Facing towards New Street is an exceptionally smart and modern smaller bar with green seats, light yellow walls and a blue and green tartan carpet. Beers available are Fullers London Pride plus two from local independent brewer W. J. King Spring Ale and Horsham Best Bitter. This is the first time I have tried the Spring Ale and it is kept in fine condition. A very pleasant place, last GBG listed in 2001, the Bedford has current Cask Marque approval; it also houses charity nights, live music nights and, like The Station pub just over the tracks, admits over 21s only to its bar.

Not a bad place, a bit of a typical town pub, can get quite full of the younger drinkers, so if you want a quite pub, do not go here. Beer could be looked after a little better, but as most people seemed to drink lager here it did not seem to matter to most.

I go in there all the time, something of a regular. I just love it for a good pint of pride and the pool tables.

A pub to fit all tastes, lively bar, quiet bar and walled patio garden. The choice of beer is excellent and includes guest beers on a regular basis. The normal activities are available, TV, Pool, Music, gaming machines and a roaring fire in the quiet bar, what more could you want.
