Now Joes Hotdog bar. They had Hophead Bitter on draught which although not top form was drinkable. Not bad for what it is.

Has recently reopened as a rocknroll bar serving hot dogs , coffee, genuine Czech lager ,Pilsner Urquell on draft , Budvar in bottles ,plus real ale and cider . With a late licence and space to dance to the fab jukebox sounds this could become the new inplace in camden .It's now called Joe's.

currently closed but due to reopen in time for the bank holiday, with a new name the Duke.

Returned here recently after not having visited for ages. This place has really taken a turn for the worse. Practically empty on a Friday night, which is saying something for a Camden boozer. Bland generic music(Black Eyed Peas, ffs!), even more overpriced than before and the classic surly bouncers needlessly hassling people at the door. I can only assume whatever trade they do get is from punters leaving the Roundhouse. Word of warning: absolutely freezing in there. We sat with coats on until we left. And the bouncers tried to get 5 off a friend who arrived later, despite the fact that there was a total of two tables occupied inside. A thoroughly charmless establishment, I won't be back.

Funky house really is the music preference of the clinically dull. I like a bit of house from time to time but this was just sterile house by numbers when I was in here on a recent Thursday. Not that the crowd seemed to care, lots of office boys, label whores and smooth types lapping it up. They were all drinking bottled lager, you know the kind of people who think a bottle of Asahi is classy. Camden does need somewhere that plays good dance music as the indie schmindie nature of the area is so tiresome but this ain't it. It is facking terrible. No wonder the cool kids go East.

Im not sure that I would want to drink in here all night, but it is ok for a few late drinks when all of the pubs have chucked out. Theres not much of a draught selection with only Fosters, Stella, Hoegarden and Guinness being available. I think that the majority of people that drink here tend to stick to bottles anyway. Its basically what you would expect from a Camden bar with sofas around all the walls and plenty of standing room around the bar as you queue to get served.
It serves its purpose well and Ive been to far worse late license venues.

Very busy in the evening. Stays open very late. I think it used to be a classical music bar but it's very much housey/funk nowadays. There's other better places locally.

Not a bad place to have a few quiet drinks....does make me feel relaxed.....bit too busy in the evenings..can never find anywhere to stand let alone sit. never tried the food-not the type of place that says let's eat in here!

Only any good in the daytime, when it's not too crowded and can be quite a chilled place. Generally a bit too crowded in the evenings and very overpriced.

Nice chilled out place, not the place to go if you want to party all night but good music and atmosphere, not too crowded either.

Appears to look shabbier and more down trodden each time I pass it. Overpriced...too much terrible music...trying to be something it's not!

A good chill out pub but it was alot better when it was the Engine Room. Bring back Andrew and Jackie (previous landlords)

Very bland and boring in that trendy wine bar style. I'm guessing it's full of people who fancy a change from the Lock. At least it doesn't pretend to be a pub.

This pub has a good atmosphere, and lots of celebs are spotted in there. Recently Jude Law and John Snow- but not together!
