Three ales on,of which I went for the Black Sheep which was okay but nothing special. Has fish tank, glow lamps and sofas but not of the trendy noveau bar style more as in pet fish with names, glow lamp from Wilkinsons and sofas that were rescued from a skip. The cliched description would be 'quirky local' but it ain't bad to drop in to for a pint.

smells of dogs as there are 3 running around the place, landlady could be a bit more welcoming, she's either on her phone outside having a smoke or talking to locals....apart from this nice pub with good beer shame about the prices of some

Great local pub in Leighton Buzzard. Plenty of Paraphanalia dotted around to keep your eyeline busy. Good pint of Abbot and a vast selection of spirits. Pub has a very good feel about it. One of the few pubs I know that have started to sell olives.

Pokey but homely town centre pub. Agree with other comments that there is a uber-local feel to it a bit. But nevertheless, pretty nice and a good bet for a Saturday afternoon beer or two - and a stare at the fish tank

Went to the Lion for the 1st time in 10 years and immediately saw Ginny behind the bar. we stared at each other for about 5 seconds and recognised each other straight away. It was if I had never been away from the pub. Its always been a great pub and still is. The welcome you get is second to none and the cask ales are a treat. Definately one pub that anyone should visit.

This is a Pub with nice regulars and better staff. There is a happy atmosphere though some newcomers may take a while to get to know the regulars.
The Beer is excellent. This has to be the best Pub in Leighton town centre.

I love the Red Lion. From the landlady who is loved by pretty much everyone who knows her to the friendly regulars. If I lived closer it would DEFINETLY be my local.
The Beer is pretty good too.

A small pub just off the High Street. Two bars, one of which sometimes has live music despite the lack of room. What with the excellent landlady and the well kept reasonably priced beer, I would be tempted to make this my local. Unfortunately the attitude of some of the regulars can make outsiders feel decidedly unwelcome.
