Beer over priced 3.35 for Ringwood Food not up to standard for the price and poor service.

Hmmm, there are so many "ok to visit for a Sunday carvery" type pubs in our beautiful area, I'm damn sure we didn't NEED another one. I can only think of the 'old' manor arms as a superb rough-rock, country drive home venue. Sadly missed.

Have been twice since it has re-opened great food, if you like fish, but waiting team are the problem, first time waited so low left early ,it took 30 minutes for the coffee, the second time alot better, will try a third time.

Now reopened as a carvery, had Harvistuon Bitter and Twisted at 3.30 and Doom Bar.
|
Now closed, the signs have been removed and there is , I think, work proceeding to strip the fitting, prior to demiltion/conversion?

Went there the other night to see my mates band, both sides of the pub have been decorated quite well. Looks clean enough, kitchen out of action though. Landlord really friendly. True there is no real ale, but good venue for bands-maybe petition the landlord to carry some real ale?

The left hand bar HAS been refurbished, has a very poor selection of drinks, definatly no real ale, think the large right hand bar area was locked up, my visit was on a tuesday eve in Januray though.

Yep, bad very, very bad. Smelly old hole. Poor old pub don't think it stands a chance really.

Went here a few years ago and it was not brilliant but ok. Drove past last night and I wouldn't even leave the car in the car park - Looks like it was shut and had loads of kids by the door.

As for the Old Specked Hen on my last visit, that label had been reversed on the pump handle, when we entered last Saturday afternoon. All that they had on offer was Ringwood Bitter, but I do not drink that. This is because I am an real ale drinker, and we then went on to the Oak in the same small hamlet - and this was just as bad, as they too only had the Ringwood Bitter. Anyway! the Manor Arms as a carvery, is now something to be avoided - and also they do not bother about serving ale.

My recent visit to this place, was a bit of a downer. The Manor Arms is in need of refurbishment - and this is because there are few outsiders who drop by. Anyway, they still do a Sunday carvery, and once this was good. Sadly it has now seriously gone down. I came with a party of four over the Easter, and two of us had to stay with our trays, for the Yorkshires and the roast potatoes which had run out. Those particular spuds turned out to be half done, but our two friends had half eaten their food when we got to the table. A pub carvery is never perfect - but there should be food held back in reserve. This is why I feel that the Manor Arms has gone down, and it is waiting a new management. By the way they had Old Speckled Hen at the bar, so they are not that bad.

This is a nice place, and their Sunday carvery is great. There is one serious drawback however - and that involves the wind direction. This pub is near the Bournemouth sewage works. So on certain occasions, it is best to stay out of the garden.
