Hard to believe this place as the plush South-Western Hotel, which it was back in the seventies, with an old boy playing a grand piano as you walked in the front door. More like something from Dodge City now. Must be yet another candidate for closure and demolition.

This popular Bournemouth bar was in the news for all the wrong reasons on 11 July 2007 when the manager was stabbed in the back and received fatal injuries.

A small but friendly corner bar in Springbourne. Two pool tables, internet access, live football on big screen and joined on to the Villa nightclub which has bands playing regularly.

it is not a yank scank its a bournemouth babe house p.s also won the pool league for the last three years.. nice pub if you are new to the area ..very friendly staff and managers especialy Blu he's fine

Pseudo Yank crap. Only thing in its favour is the proximity to the train station. It used to be the finest in a previous incarnation as The Phoenix. RIP.

This place was once known as the South Western and was a decent boozer. It then had a refurb and morphed into Zonkers (no,really) and on entering I was greeted with the surreal sight of the barmaids rattling tambourines as they worked. Even that was preferrable to the doss house it is these days.

just been there and its great, near the station so you can get home easily. Food is great, unbeatable but the landlord is what you must come see!!!
