I have never felt safe in this pub; certainly has a touch of the pikey about it.

I started growing some mustard and cress on the mould in the gents toilets a few monts ago - can anyone tell me if its ready to cut yet?

this pub has the potential for greatness...except its full of greasy oiks that can't get served in Sweeneys. Avoid - there are much better pubs down the road. Smoking ban comes in this summer, why can't we have a CHAVS ban too? And who let this place go downhill in the first place? Shame on you.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with dougieboard. I went in on friday 24th with my girlfriend. I`ve passed it loads of times and never been in so was keen to see what it was like because its a really nice looking old buiding with a lot of character.As soon as we walked in we got the stares from a load of pissed up youg herberts, one in particular was effin and blinding so loud you could hear him in the street.I have to say I was really surprised as to how moody the pub was with loads of chavvy donuts given the place a real edgy feel. The place was rundown and the tables were filthy which is a shame because it could be a great pub, I see the leasehold is for sale maybe someone will come in and sort this place out

As a long-time regular of the Swan until a couple of years ago, it was with a heavy heart that I ventured through the door on a recent saturday night. The pub has been overrun with wannabe gangsters, possible with a few genuine ones among them. There was a third-rate karaoke set-up, which between performances was playing deafening drum and bass tripe and the place was filthy. This used to be a nice little pub, but it needs saving. Soon.

Was back up there the other week for the first time in years. Quiet for a Thursday night but at least that meant you got served quickly. Might have to pop back again soon to see if it is livelier at weekends.

One of the oldest pubs around, shows it a bit. Does need a bit of a facelift now that its not the only drinking establishment on the high street, the main place now being sweeny's. Good for a quiet drink.

its ok although needs a facelift of some sorts. Jukebox is ok, but not much going for it. Only proper pub on high street, it could do better.
