Shoulder Of Mutton, Bradwellback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Now under new management and seems to be getting along nicely. Food is now being served and rooms are available for B&B. Much nicer and cozier atmosphere now that Lynne is in charge and the place is looking more loved. Worth a try.

Sorry to hear that Christine and Alf will be leaving us soon - retiring so they say, but we're not too sure what they have tucked away in Bulgaria!!! We wish them all the very best. And as for the future? Will we get a new landlord/landlady who will have a ready supply of umbrellas in stormy weather? Time will tell! 10 out of 10 to Christine and Alf, and all the staff there at the Shoulder!

still a damn fine establishment, although the staff seem to have gone slightly downhill since my last visit! the landlord and landlady are still on fine form though, as are the beers! watch out for the barmaid from The Buxton 'thoffice - she's got a twinkle in her eye that one!!! can recommend 'tingo bingo' night and also try and get there for the quiz night just before christmas, as the jackpot on the bingo will be worth having a punt at!

oh my word! excentric locals they certainly are! but oh so helpful if you need a taxi finding in the middle of the night! the valet parking leaves a lot to be desired, but the atmosphere is warm (christine loves her real fires) and inviting! the real ales are a connoisseurs dream and belive me, the pub is full of them! just a mention for the barmaid Jules - wonderful, brilliant, superb!

This pub has a lovely atmosphere, full of excentric locals, when we went we met a lovely local girl, who was a piece of hot ass, although the experience was ruined by a strange oldish lad who the locals referred to as limpy ....something or other, who serenaded the pub with what can only be described as an alcholics rendition of a dying donkey on kareoke. all in all a Fantastic pub, alf the landlord always has a spare umbrella for when walking home in the rain.

A great country pub, always full of friendly locals and has a great landlord and landlady pairing in Alf and Christine, who are always great value for money.
The pub is a freehouse so always a great selection of beers on offer whatever your tastes, and its kept well too.
When I last visited it was karioke. There was some great talent singing, in particular a lad called Ben who did a great version of Rick Astley's 'never gonna give you up'. Hell of a singer!

My wife, dog and I went away for a walking weekend and stayed in a B&B in Bradwell. The nearest pub to us, didn's allow dogs in so we came here on two nights. Excellent beer, really nice locals, good entertainment on the Saturday night. Food, although simple, was delicious.
