Shocked for two reasons on my last visit 1 Timothy Taylor Landlord no longer sold, my 2nd favorite beer. 2 Price of a pint of Harvey's Sussex has risen from £3.20 to £3.55. Not sure how that could be justified but guess it's an affluent area, supply and demand etc Apart from that it's a good pub!

A nice little selection of real ales, with a perfectly acceptable Wadworth 6X my tipple with my lunch. Very nice Thai menu, full marks for the fish cake starter and the green curry main course.
Staff quite nice too.

Lovely traditional pub in shoreham. Had very good guinness, and friend loved the ale. Nice locals very friendly. Lovely professional staff, will visit again soon.

Agree with previous comment - Dark Star American Pale Ale was absolutely excellent. Atmosphere was also friendly and relaxed. Enjoyed watching the horse racing on Saturday afternoon. More pubs should do this. We'll return.

Nice pub, difficult on a Sunday to get a seat as it's pretty reserved for food. Good pint of American Pale Ale (Dark Star) and Timthy Taylor's Landlord also ok.
|
Great winter pub a roaring fire and friendly staff. Fortunately no sign of Ken

If it's good enough for Ken Bishop it's good enough for me!

Great photo attached and the frontage looks equally nice from the inside, original windows proclaiming wines, sprits, etc. Also beers Pride, Landlord, Harveys, Abbot and, unusually outside the west country, a decent pint of 6X. Another well-used chatty locals bar, and the chippy is on the adjacent John Street.

Proper boozer with a good reputation for roasts. Used to get a bit 'heavy' pre smoking ban. Nicer now.
|
Believe me, if Ken Bishop has recommended this pub, it has to be good. And it is!
|
Sunday roast is excellent and the beers are good. When the smoking ban comes in I'll give this place a 10.

Tucked away in Middle Street, you'll often have a choice of Tanglefoot, "K&B" (now Badgers) Sussex, Brakspear Special, Fullers London Pride, Whitbread Flowers, plus other guest beers. Can be 'lively' at times, but with the usual food, music & fruit machine it's engaging nonetheless.

Music too loud, too many kids

A little pub off the high street offering six real ales 365 days.
The landlord Simon is a reincarnation of Basil Fawlty both in looks and temperament. A must visit
