poor angie, she dose the work of five bar staff (10 if your talking about that plank Tyrone) .the average waiting time to be served is the reason why it seems to be full of O A Ps, i went in one Wednesday aged 25 and left after my first pint aged 73 what a joke, to top this off if you dare mention this fact, then your greeted with tutting and teeth sucking,RAS-CLART.

Was aware of the older reviews before visiting this Wetherspoon pub. However, was pleasantly surprised. Good and efficient service and well-kept real ales. The pub is Cask Marque accredited.

I pop in here quite often when staying nearby. I find it one of the worst of the JDW chain. Always have to wait for what seems ages to get served. There is a really long bar here and I have never seen more than two people serving at the same time. Yeah the prices are cheap but for me that doesn't make up for the interminable wait. At least they have a fairly good range of guest ales (more than some Wetherspoons). I normally tolerate it here for a couple then head off down to the excellent Jono's Bar nearby. That's a proper pub with atmosphere and friendly efficient service - just wish they would sell real ale !

Painfully slow service but then again only one girl serving so cannot complain, otherwise pretty ordinary but large spoons with all the usual jdw benefits, 6.5/10

Don't entirely agree with Keirah, he must have picked a bad night. Yes, like all Weatherspoon's pubs it does attract a fair share of 'down and outs', but as you can get 'bladdered' in here for a fiver, who can blame them.
Usually a good selection of beers on, like the Mauldons or Batemans. Staff are friendly. I've been in here on a Friday night when the place is buzzing with a good ethnic mix. Food is not bad and good value.Usually the place we choose when meeting friends in Ilford.

Wobblybob is spot-on about this Spoons (as he is elsewhere) - very friendly staff (Typical of this part of London I find) and a very decent pint of Moorhouses. Not a great building, but recommended.

what a shithole full of down and outs who all look dead place is dark and dingy went in last xmas to have a quick pint thought i walked into a funeral parlour

rude little twit behind the bar who thinks he owns the place but probably hasnt even reached puberty what a dump never again.

i didnt even bother to order a drink

Enjoyed a few decent pints of Saltaire Chocolate Stout in this almost typical JDW pub. I say 'almost typical' because one thing was very different. The service was fast, efficient and friendly - other JDW outlets please note!

Very large open space pub.Nothing to write home about but just had the most fantastic pint of Maldon Gold.Things cant be all that bad.At 1.69 a pint how can you go wrong?

Got a soft spot for Spoon as I usually go when staying with the folks. Must be getting old because I love the fact there's always a seat. Food is reliable and cheap, though with the processed feel of all Wetherspoon food. Good, quick bar service unlike some other JD pubs.

Pension day at The Spoon anyone?

Typical Wethers pub, though larger than average. There was also a large turd on the floor of the gents when I last visited. Disturbingly, this provided the highlight of my visit.

A typical if immense Wetherspoons.. ie rubbish staff and even worse clientele.... Still, very cheap and you can always get a table... it may just be half a mile from the bar...

Large Wetherspoon pub with real beer, ok food, no pool and no music.

Decent place. Huge too, an ex-cinema- so it lacks really great atmosphere. But booze is cheap and there's the occasional bit'a'barney . Good fun!

One of the best Wetherspoon pubs I have ever visited,Nice friendly staff,on one occasion I dropped some coins on the floor,by accident of course, and after fumbling around on the floor picking them up a member of staff called Mike came over to me and helped me pick all my money up-nice friendly staff and quality wetherspoon food too !.
