I used to use this pub in it's previous incarnation as a back street boozer when I lived in Cov but on a recent visit I was very disappointed to see that it's been ruined following a revamp. It was bloody awful. Beer was in good condition but I won't bother again.

The Cottage used to be a great local community pub, but now is just another fake plastic bar attracting students, pub crawlers and pre-clubbers that Earlsdon is full of in the evenings. They have about 5 real ales to choose from and they are fairly well kept but other than that there's not much more to recommend about this pub.

Nice clean pub where they take pride in their beer.

Pretentious. Shame about some of the clientelle. There are plenty of other pleasant places to drink near here.

This used to be a decent pub but they've ruined it now. Is the price of progress worth paying? is it F***; as Shakespeare once said!!

Visited The Cottage following a recommendation. I was told that it had benefited from a 1million refurb and was well worth a visit. I went on a hot Sunday night with my girlfriend and arrived at around 9:00 pm. First impression was that why spend so much money on a place that was stuck in the centre of a fairly industrial street. Parking was also a slight problem as there is no car park and Earlsdon is notorious for bad parking. We entered the bar and had the choice of turning left into the "smoke" room or right into "no smoking". We chose the right option. To say I was disappointed is a slight understatement. The place resembled a poor man's student union bar, which actually does union bars a disservice as they tend not to be full of drunken football yobs singing football chants at the top of their voice. Neither the bouncer or bar staff batted an eyelid at this so one must assume it is considered "the norm". Added to this the appalling acoustics, the music, for some reason kept going from loud to quiet and then loud again? Also in a student union bar you wouldn't expect to pay 2.80 for a pint! We won't be returning.

Tried out the newly refurbed Earlsdon Cottage on Saturday - now totally transformed into a bright, modern bar, although its possibly lost some its character on the way - well worth a visit though

Currently undergoing refurbishment. Temporary toilets outside the front of the pub - Yuk More ming than blng. The place really should have been closed down whilst such works are being effected. Corporate greed?? Should be good when it's all finished however. We await with ever mounting interest

Just about to be closed for massive refurbishment.
Temporary toilets outside now. Will close soon for many weeks. Don't plan a detour any time soon unless you phone first.

A proper local pub but welcoming to visitors. Good draught Bass and extremely good value pub food at lunch time.
The large (if bare) beer garden makes this a good venue for a lazy summer lunchtime.

A great old fashioned English Pub. Try the all day breakfast alongside the excellent Bass and range of guest beers. Live music - in separate room - regularly on.
Great local
