Soon to be an Antic pub I hear.
|
Closed a few weeks ago, boarded up now. Unsure what it's future will be, on the high street so won't be converted to flats, I doubt anyone will want to take it over as a pub though, no money in it.

Large pub, really quiet with a number of pool tables. Greene King IPA was the only cask beer. Looked like a husband and wife team running it. Nice interior but was almost empty on match day after the game.
|
Started an evening crawl here and found they did not have any Real Ale on. They only have it when CPFC are playing at home. Nice interior, just a shame it's dead.
|
I moved from The Victory, just round the closure to the Thomas Farley, and am surprised it is still surviving. I don't know if they still have pool tournaments.

Isn't this the old Wilton Arms under a new name?

Only reasonable. The men's toilet was disgusting. It smelled badly and needed a decent clean. The bar staff were dressed sloppily and smoked on duty.

A traditionally friendly, family-run pub, and drinks at reasonable prices. There is karaoke on Saturdays.
