Bar staff are great, however bouncers are over zealous and will throw you out over nothing. Avoid if you want a good night.

Great bar. Very friendly staff great selection of beers including moosehead for you canucks. Very busy weekends but staff cater for your needs very well.

takes an age to get served but the balcony is pretty good in the summer.. just watch out for bag thieves

Man alive the music in here is shocking. A quiet Monday night drink turned into a shouting match with someone sat two yards away from me.
The bar was near on empty but the bar staff kept turning their sh*te house music up until it reached ear-splittingly loud volume.
I don't want Corinne Bailey Rae and Sade in the background, but a happy medium would be nice.
Oh, and it's 4.00 a pint. Enjoy!

Last time I was here, I waited so long I walked out. Shame because they had some nice bottles in the fridge incl Summer Lightning.

Good bottled beer selection, fairly good service, nice atmosphere. Balcony is good when it's sunny, as is the "free BBQ" on Friday evenings.

Staff were pretty rude, they messed a group of us around also and promised free stuff which never came. Otherwise the venue is quite good. A lot of couches etc and nice relaxed Camden atmosphere.

Great Pub. It became something of a local for work drinks for a while. Great music. Great pies. PIES! And decent choice of beers too. Bar staff are all very friendy and once you've been in there a couple of times they tend to remember you. Usually some interesting artwork on the walls (though a bit pricey if you ask me), I'm guessing they're camden-local artists. Usually a good atmosphere. And to be honest, I actually prefer it when it's quiet. Saturday nights get rammed and the whole place seems to be full of expletives deleted. Overall, I like the lockside.

Nice enough place, but it feels a bit like drinking in a corridor. Always seems to be some kind of highly-charged interplay going on between the staff and various "locals" that breeze in from time to time. Good range of bottled beers and food seemed reasonable enough. I remember enjoying the nachos through a drunken stupour, so they must have been alright. Definitely not the sort of pub to stop at for 1 or 2 before going to meet someone, because you WILL be late !

Decent place. Went on a Sunday afternoon and had a nice bottle of wine and some cocktails while reading the papers. Smart and tidy without trying too hard. Would imagine it's better in the summer when you can drink outside.

Very Chilled out, always playing funky music. i'll definately be going back for more

The Sunday nights at the Lockside lounge are great. Spinoff I think it's called. The funkiest sounds I've ever heard... well recommended

I used to go here when it wasn't the horrible place it is now. Tried to get to the bar on a Saturday night. Was far too packed and music was very loud so had to leave, even though it was a friend's birthday. I don't like places like this. It's the sort of place that makes you yearn for a Wetherspoons.
