This Fullers pub is a corner local at the top end of the High Street, not too far from the landmark All Saints church. The pub has some nice etched windows. But the ale range was limited to HSB, ESB & London Pride plus a guest also from Fullers - Spring Sprinter. A bit of a hike from the Esplanade. But a fairly friendly place.

A proper drinkers pub on the high street. Well kept Fullers ales. How traditional street corner locals used to be!

Fullers pub at the top end of town, good quality Fullers beer and pleasant bar staff but a lot of not very pleasant customers... bit of a locals only pub I think.

Am a massive fan of Fullers beer and Fullers pubs, but this was dreadfully disappointing. Full of oiks.

Another Fullers formerly Gales pub. Had another decent pint of Gales HSB. A decent town pub though the music and accompaniment from the locals may have put some off. They seemed to be having a jolly time. A courtyard entitled 'Lepers Grotto' out back for smokers.. Somoene in the place appears to be a Liverpool fan.

Went in here on a Thursday afternoon, age of customers 60+. Horse racing on the TV. If it has had a freshen up it must have been dire before. HSB was ok but nothing more.

Good ambience with helpful staff and friendly locals, seems to be the favourite haunt of a few local characters? Beer range fine for a Fullers house, though a shame ESB is no longer on tap alongside HSB for comparison purposes!

An old fashioned town drinkers pub that always seems to be reasonably busy, it's customers are generally in the 30+ age group. Now re-branded from Gales to Fullers and has had a bit of a freshen up inside. As far as I can remember it is basically unchanged since I first used it in the early eighties. The hand pumps have been replaced recently with a new bank of four, the beers on offer were Chiswick, Pride, HSB and a Gales Winter ale - the three I had were all in top condition. Well worth a visit.

Think this was the pub I visited, has got a large Liverpool F.C flag up and the racing on. Range of ales O.K if you like Fullers/Gales. Seemed to have the feel of a locals pub to it. Would go out of my way to visit again. O.K

Locals' pub; keen on racing Saturday afternoon. Beer OK.

I hope it's not changed, wonderful pub.

A proper working class drinkers pub, last of the few, try the H.S.B.
