Seems like SFI Group Limited has gone into administration or something and they have disposed of a selection of leaseholds including a range of Litten Tree, Bar Med and Slug and Lettuce branches.
Altrincham falls into one of these. Sad to see it go

You'll never see a more hilarious collection of ugly chavs from the Broomwood in your life! Brawling is a favorite pastime of the Litten Tree patron.
Going in there makes you realise that you have finally plumbed the depths of the Altrincham pub scene. Full of overweight skinheads and plump chain smoking single mothers.
A sorry collection of peasants. Go elsewhere!

i love this place in here every saturday with my mates! music could be better at times the door staff are really friendly and the bar staff are quick to serve foods great only thing to complain about is it gets far too hot and needs better air conditioning!!!

I was very disappointed to learn that members of staff in this once fine establishment actually complained about "kurdt Kobain's" style of singing during his recent rendition of "You know your right". Can i remind them that sunday night karaoke is not an audition for pop idol, it is just for fun. However, the week after the complaints "kurdt" did a beautiful rendition of "the scientist" just to prove that he could sing. The english breakfasts are still quality but could i suggest you add black pudding to the dish, it would be a most welcome addition.

The rumour is that he had his own unplugged session over at the Faulkners on a sunday/thursday but that he's fallen out with the management and is now looking to return to the tree. With his long locks of blonde hair, his rebel without a cause attitude and that killer smile. Theres only one place to be friends!!

The food is awful!
The staff -well the boy who served us was lovely and chatty - the manager was nice but the blonde female waitress/bar staff was rude and not very help ful.
I didnt like bar med and im not gonna give this ago either. Doubt its changed.

Its really nice during the day. Have been in a few times at night and have found that most of the fights are made worse by the bully boy attitudes of the bouncers.

I was in the Litten Tree last night and i thought it was great. Poker and black jack, some girl singing 'Smells like Teen Spirit' on karaoke, no scallies any more and they sell allday breakfasts till 9 o'clock and it shuts at 12.30 on a sunday. Everyones a winner!

Been in twice since it re opened as The Litten Tree and not very impressed. Both times have been quiet altho when it was bar med you were guaranteed the place would be busy and lively. First time I went in the DJ just left the same CD playing. Must have heard Girls Aloud 5 times in 3 hours!!

Same pub different green sign. When it was Bar Med, I was once refused entry to this establishment on an early Saturday evening for a quiet drink with the missus. We'd been shopping and she was wearing her comfy plimsoles. "no trainers mate!" The bar was empty - I've never seen it full. The missus and I are local and are far far more civilised than the usual yoof you get in there. Couldn't believe it - don't have my fiver then! Haven't been back since, but walk past it at the weekends.
It's just a place to go when you haven't had enough booze and every where else shuts, hence gets busy at 11pm.

It has reopened,went past last night and other than the new sign, it didn't look much different inside.
