It's different and that is a good thing. Ales selection not fantastic, but atmosphere and music usually tip top. As is the table football!

Certainly not a typical Harrogate bar and all the better for it. Loud & busy. Music generally good but a little too much Foo Fighter style American rock for my taste. Excellent bar staff. No good here if you are a cask ale snob. Top up on the best beer in Harrogate at the Old Bell then on to Montey's for a great night.

Went there on a trip to Harogate as recomended by the taxi driver, brilliant in every way, only complaint was it was SO busy! Even with it being packed the service was spot on.

This place is possibly the best bar I have ever known (and I've known a few). The staff are clearly having the time of their lives and are excellent at their jobs too. The music is awesome and very cleverly mixed to make sure the atmosphere keeps building, the drinks were the best in Harrogate by miles and the outside area was open al night unlike a lot of the other town center bars. Love it, love it, love it.

A town centre boozer that dares to be different! You won't have dance music or boy band pop inflicted on you. The music policy is a fab mix of nostalgic rock and is cleverly mixed to create the right atmosphere, afternoon or night. A great cocktail and shooter list with the best happy hour i've ever seen (2 cocktails for �3.50, 5 shots for �5 and more!) Bar staff really know what they're doing, and do a fab job of getting you (and themselves it appears!) more than a bit tiddly! Hassle free, awesome night out, highly reccomended.

The bar is very good, the music is cool rock music and the staff give good service. When it's warm, it is great to sit outside and they do live music sometimes too.

This bar sucks! The music's too loud, the staff are rude and the toilets upstairs! This is no good for somebody who was wounded in Nam in the 70's!

Montey's is my favourite bar in Harrogate! The staff are cool, the music rules, and they serve the best drinks! The only place I know that does 'Squashed Frog' shots!!!

Montey's is a rock bar, why do you have it listed as a jazz bar? Still, it rocks so bring it on, MOntey's is the best bar in harrogate by miles, unless you want to stand around in clothes you can't afford trying to pose then you might be better off somewhere else!!

Montey's is a rock bar, thumping rock music, coctails, shooters, pretty girls, no posers, no fighting, heaven! Oh and last time I was in the happy hour was cheap as chips!
