Main bar is quite disappointing. No real ale, but some Irish Lager. TV Screens, quite brightly lit and nothing really going for it.
The back room is better - where live Irish Music was played. Quite surreal seeing a large group of Asian ladies doing riverdance to the fiddle music.

Live Irish music being played in the back room which was great.

Very dark, tv screens predominate, no ale. Dull!

Been in here a few times when I've visited Belfast always very busy never had any problems with the door staff and the bar staff seem friendly enough. I prefer Fibber Magee's though as they have live Irish music every night no real ales though.

Not the sort of place to go if you have an identity crisis but its interesting to trawl around the different areas and see what they have to discover. The front of the saloon provides the tourist bit with Titanic artefacts on show whilst the rear is where the locals will hang out. The rear bar is a real spit and sawdust place and the dcor and atmosphere invokes thoughts of days gone by. The bistro upstairs is very pleasant and laid back and has comfortable leather sofas and armchairs to relax in. Didnt make it to the nightclub. Next door to The Crown so you have to do them both.
|
Multi-level bars, Robinson's through the front door, Fibber Magee's through the back, a decent restaurant upstairs, nightclub on the top floor and a modern bar in the basement. One of the best complexes in Belfast and something for all tastes.

Was on a stag weekend last week and we used Robinsons as our HQ good pub several different bars. Staff were ok and clietele were friendly. Worth a visit. It gets busy but not there is still room for everyone.

Yet another pub let down by its unbelievably surly barstaff. Asked one bored looking bouncer if they were showing the Scotland game to be told "What the **** are you asking me for. Ask the barstaff"... I tried to point out that they were all busy and he was doing nothing, at which point I thought he was going to lamp me, but instead, very eloquently told me to "**** off"
|
was heading in here after few beers in beaten docket but ignorant bouncers changed that plan and after that wouldnt step foot in there

This is a good drinking place once you've done the obligatory pint in the Crown, just up the street. Lively, good pint, friendly.

A better alternative to the Crown bar next door - and alot more craic!

Recently found myself stuck in Belfast on a boring Tuesday evening. Sampled a few taverns near the university before making my way into town. When I got to Robinson's the day ceased to be boring. Settled in here for the remainder of the evening no problem. Delighted to discover it was open till 1am. Had a bite to eat upstairs and the food went down a treat. Downstairs then to the front bar and a few quiet pints and a read of the paper, then into the back bar called Fibbers where there was a cracking band dishing out some great music. This pub knows all about atmosphere and I reccommend it to anyone visiting Belfast. I can't wait to return.

Recently been refurbished - well worth a visit to compare (to those who didnt seem to rate it) Ps. Strawberry Cheesecake is phenomenal

FANTASTIC!! Spent the weekend in Belfast. 1st afternoon in the Crown, then the evening in Robinsons. What a place! Relaxed, cool decor, great atmosphere and no more expensive. We went back the next afternoon for a late lunch - great! 10 out of 10.

Been in this pub a couple of times. Both times it reeked of BO and the staff were unhelpful to say the least..

Just up the street from the Crown. staff don't seem so friendly if they don't know you already, and it can take a while to get served as a result. food looks very good though, and not a bad alternative if the Crown is too full.
