has now closed down and looks like becoming 'Que Pasa' - if the one in Oxford is anything to go by this will be during the day/evening and a 'club' at night...

Since the new manager has taken over this place has got really bad and rough! This is what happens when you get new managers who think they know what they are doing by getting rid of good dj's and bringing in there own micky mouse ones. This place is now full of Chaves and rough necks!!!! Used to be the best place to go during the week and the weekend. Around 13 of us used to go in there on a wedesday night and the weekend for the good music and good atmosphere, now it is just Shocking! Such a shame because we we really enjoyed going there!!!

Far from having a biased point of view (I do work there!), I must admit that i tend to agree with comments regarding the clientel. Over the past couple of months the atmosphere has got steadily worse, this seems to have coincided with a change of management! The new management team seem to have got it all wrong. Bring back the old ones!

Dodgy at night - I like to avoid this one- gets a bit rough! Have had some good food there during the day though - although was ID'd for a coke at lunch time! - I'm 24!

Went to Toad after work and it was so empty it was scary. Strange as it right outside the busstop in the town. Better in the evenings as it turns into more of a night club. And upstairs is better (Specially the dancers in cowgirl outfits!). Sometimes a bit of a rough clientle but thats true of any pub/club these days.

Can i ask what pub looks after it customers so good that they keep coming back? The TOAD with Food throughout the day and when night draws in then it is the place to be with all the latest music playing. And can i say you can't get any better management than there is now who value there customers making it a great to eat and drink in.

i recently went for lunch here when visiting my son at uni. i was very impressed with the quality of food and the service that went along with it. my son said it was also a great venue for the evenings. with vast amount of drink promotions,it gets him and his friends in most evenings! nothing to do with the pretty ladies behind the bar!!! a great place for all cliental.

I believe the Toad to be the best pub in Cheltenham. The service is exemplary and the Champagne selection is second to none.

I have had some fantastic evenings at Toad - great for a night out. In the day the food is really good - much better than it used to be and excellent value for money. I disagree with preious messages - this is one of the few places in Cheltenham where there seems to be little trouble and there are not that many pikeys at all.

The toad is one of the best places in cheltenham. The Bar staff are brilliant including the Managemet. Their are 2 Floors so you can chill upstairs on the sofas and also get a drink in the upstairs bar. Wednesday nites sre the best if you like RnB music you will luv these days. The door Staff are Brilliant they do their job properly in keeping out trouble do the Toad is a safe place to drink and enjoy your night out. I certainly recommend this pub. Keep up The Good Work TOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toad is where the pikeys banned from other bars in town go to drink. I wouldn't touch it with someone elses bargepole! My girlfriend was a barmaid here for a while and in one week there were fights in and even behind the bar. It hasn't changed. Certainly not recommended, Cheltenham has much better to offer.

This place has 2 floors, quite a bit of space, although you wouldn't think so by the way you get shoved around by ppl. It has ok music, gets very busy on Saturday nights, I had to queue to get in and that was quite early(In think it's to make it look good to passing by drinkers)It's fun, but a little tacky, bit laike a yates' without smelly carpet & cheap burberry items.
