I agree with Trev. The photo above speaks volumes. It's an okay boozer, the beers good.

Loud pub - in terms of shouting customers and 'background' music - so not a place for a quiet night out! One end of the pub is a bar around which most people, presumably regulars, stand. The other end is dominated by a large snooker table. But the friendly service couldn't be faulted; neither could the pint of Ruddles, which was the only draft ale on.

Amongst the trendy loud music bars up and down the High Street The Foresters manages to retain a semblance of a traditional pub. Not bad beer and prices that are reasonable. It is not the biggest of pubs so can get a little cramped at busy times but worth a look in if you are in town. Not the biggest real ale range but normally a couple on the pumps and quite well kept.

Year and half since my last comment - but i'm now a irregular visitor to this smashing ale house. Dave and Anne have really turned this place round and its now a very popular pub. The menu is good old fashioned pub basics and the food is excellent. Real ale regular Ruddles is well kept and there is usally a guest ale on as well.
Well worth a visit!

Another successfull Christmas and New Year. There is always something special for each customer, regular or new. A way to go to be beaten by anyone in Andover

Anne and Dave will make everyone welcome and have a good time at the foresters arms.Best wishes

The licencees make their regulars feel comfortable and relaxed. They were the only pub in Andover to redecorate before the smoking ban and also made a smoking area fit for a king. Keep up the good work for we will stay loyal.

Fantastic pub, lovely staff, new menu and chef are really good. Its the only part of Andover life I will miss when moving back to London. Thanks Anne & Dave for always making me feel welcome!!!

Excellent pint of Ruddles, friendly and welcoming. A way to go to be better.

Have to say that the new tenants are doing a great job of bringing this pub of life support. Friendly pub and food back on. Worth a visit again.

If pool is your thing, the sunday knock out is good for a laugh and the prize of drinks is worthy of a monday morning hangover!

Since the new licencees have entered into this pub, the beer has been out-standing - I challenge any other pub in Andover to outshine the quality.

A traditional pub that has recently been revamped. Very clean with a good selection of traditional home cooked food. The licencees are 'hands on' enabling fun and atmosphere to linger throughout each day. It is now hard to stay away from this pub.

Seems Green King are changing all their pubs from managed to tenancies. Strange little place rather like drinking in someones living room. Not too bad on price but duno what happened to the big screen for matches. never even thought about eating here it's a drinking establishment rather than gastro pub!
|
Another town pub placed on life support by Greene King. Just what is going on in Andover these days? All the traditional pubs are failing.

Quite small and pillars make it quite awkward to watch football or anything. Pool table is alright(although quick) and not too bad for a swift half and a game of pool

A friendly town centre pub that surprisingly does no food at all. This probably contributes to the fact it never seems busy at luncthime during the week. Another Greene King pub the ales reflect the brewery. Ruddles best here though instead of the usual GK offering of IPA or Abott.
