Strange little boozer with a gorgeous landlady (and I mean stunning), Tried the Thatchers Traditional cider when I went it. Only a few locals around, but it was only 5:00pm!! The place is clean and presentable. Big screen TV located at the end of the bar area. Other than that.....rather bland, Greene King pub really.

They're now calling themselves The Victoria Cross rather than The Globe. Went in on an otherwise busy night in the run up to Christmas, and this was the only central pub in Andover that was deserted: just a group of friends of the barmaid standing at the bar chatting to her. Only one beer on: GK IPA, but served with a smile, and very cheaply priced, so no complaints. The furniture is entirely high chairs and stools that you have to climb up onto, with high tables. No low tables except the one opposite the bar that was covered with the barmaid's friends' coats.

I'd have to say after my most recent visit that the new tenants are trying hard to turn the pub around. Suffers a bit from the high steps at the entrance of the High Street, but it's popularity seems to be rising again.

Third of 3 town pubs on life support by Greene King.

was good for a few months when wetherspoons etc was popular. Quite expensive and small.

This place holds dear to me as my Grandfather Lionel Goodfellow had this pub when I was a small girl, I used to shock people on the high street at the age of 3 when I would ask mum if we could 'go to the pub' of course meaning to visit my grandad. He had a beautiful labrador and I loved to spend time upstairs with them.

small pub, dont think much of it can be full of kids at the weekend.

Used to be the manager at The Globe Coaching Inn and I still think it's one of the nicest pubs in the Andover area.

I used to frequent the Globe from 1978-1988. Last time I was in was in 1996. I now live in Detroit, USA and own a pub of my own. Had many happy nights (and days) in the Globe. Whatever happened to Bob Target?
