Sorry to have to say..Unfortunatly not the friendliest of places. Myself and my partner visited this establishment yesterday as we had travelled 100 miles to see a production at Pinewood Studios and were a little early. When we walked through the door we approached the bar and were given 'daggers' from who I assumed was the owner (blond lady, well dressed). We were not greeted in a friendly manner and were barely spoken to let alone had the pleasure of any manners. We felt very unwelcome in here needless to say after the one drink we left. This is obviously a 'local only' villiage pub.
Never Again!

I popped in at lunchtime for a quick drink and enjoyed a well-kept pint of Pride in the very pleasant garden. The place has an old-fashioned feel to it in the good sense. It is well off the beaten -track for me but if I ever happened to be going by again I'd certainly pop in.

A little gem. I actually met Barry and his wife at the Hilton in London after a night at the theatre, on hearing I lived in GX and worked at Pinewood Barry kindly invited us for a drink. We (my boyfriend and I) got a very warm welcome, the pub was cosy, clean and the garden quite large with lots of nooks. Their dog is huge but ever-so-friendly. Going back for the quiz night soon - keep up the good work!

Outstanding cask mark certified pub. Friendly, busy and reasonable prices Beer (Pride & Broadside) in excellent condition. This is the standard upon which other pubs must bring themselves up to. Will be back

Great pub with friendly, courteous staff. by far the best pub in the area!

Mr anonymous has obviously got a grudge with Barry and Debbbie,(the landlords). It's a shame because if he had genuinely paid the place a visit he would know that he has not got a clue what he is talking about. The pub is great with a good mix of people, the beer is top notch and so is the food and Barry and Debbie are two of the best people you could meet!

To put the record straight, i am the landlord of the whip and collar, Iver Heath. 1,I have only visited the stag and hounds once. 2, I do not know the landlord or the landlady. 3, I can spell 4, If all you have to do with your time is stir up trouble and cause trouble between pub's.May i suggest you have the courtesy to leave your name and not ANONYMOUS Thank you.Paul Bailey

A warm, welcoming and incredibly friendly old inn that preserves a beautiful and cosy building, the sort the faceless bland chain pub groups just don't make anymore. Handy for visitors to Pinewood Studios and reachable by bus weekdays from Uxbridge tube, I heartily recommend it, and I'm a fussy old grouch at the best of times.
