Lord Nelson, Burnham Marketback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Went here for an evening drink and meal. Upon arrival we were told " no fish today", unsurprising as there had been a force 8 gale blowing the previous day, enough to keep any sensible fisherman in port. We chose non-fish dishes, only to see later two other diners having fish ! Upon enquiring, the waitress said " oh, I meant the fish dish of the day, not the usual fish and chips, etc." Clarity folks, clarity is all important when dealing with the customer.
Woodforde's Wherry and GK IPA were the two beers available. Again unimpressed with the Wherry. According to the Woodforde's website they do eight beers. Why can I only get Wherry ? Why not Norfolk Nog ?
Pub was sparsely decorated but clean. Only a dozen people came in all evening. Staff pleasant enough. Overall OK, but nothing special.

NEWLY REFURBISHED IN 2011 and also under new management I stayed in the pub with my wife in June 2011. We found the staff eager to please and nothing could have been more friendly and well looked after. The Pub is now renamed 'The Nelson' and the excellent variety of food was first class as wat the accomodation, we shall certainly be coming back as quickly as we can for our next jaunt along this wonderful part of the world!

Stayed here for a couple of nights, nice pub. Clean and tidy bar, had the usual lagers, Guinness and Aspall cider. GK IPA (2.80) and Woodfordes Wherry (3) in good nick, with a third handpump empty. 2 bars, the Trainers bar more lounge/foody, whilst the front bar is more pub like, with a large screen (wasn't on). Quiz, Poker, Bingo nights in this bar as well. Lively pub, food well priced, well presented and affordable. Customer service top notch. Working to find a balance between a relaxed friendly local and attracting the well-healed people who come to this part of the world. 7/10

This pub is now called The Jockey. We ate here several times during a recent holiday in Norfolk and I can honestly say it was absolutely delightful. The food is supurb, as is the service. I had visited the pub a couple of years ago and I was amazed at the improvement. It has a restaurant and lounge and a front bar with a friendly atmosphere reserved for more traditional pub activities - drinking. Many local people seem to use this pub.

what have they done to this pub? Such a shame. I suggested it 3 years ago and the change was unnecessary and silly.

Local's pub. Two bars, one is more for eating the nice pub grub, and the other is more for drinking, with a pool table, dart board and the largest dog known to man kind. More of a local's pub than the hoste and all the better for it.
